How Does Your Brain Process Emotions? Your brain has three layers—reptilian for survival, the limbic system for emotions, and the prefrontal cortex for logic. When triggered, the amygdala takes control, driving impulsive fight-or-flight responses. By pausing and recognizing emotions, you can shift decision-making to the prefrontal cortex, reducing stress and improving clarity. Train your brain to process emotions rationally and take charge of your emotional responses. #FunctionalMedicineTheNewStandard, #MindBodyConnection, #EmotionalAwareness, #BrainHealth, #StressRelief, #EmotionalRegulation, #Neuroscience, #MentalClarity, #SelfControl, #HealthyMind, #MindfulLiving, #WellnessJourney, #InnerPeace, #HolisticHealth, #EmotionalHealing, #PositiveMindset, #HealingJourney, #BrainFunction, #ReshapeYourMindset, #EmotionsMatter

The brain is truly a remarkable organ, and our understanding of how it works is constantly evolving. Even with all the advances in neuroscience, there is still so much we have yet to discover. However, what we do know is absolutely mind-blowing. Check out this short video that summarizes our current understanding of how the brain changes over time. It's fascinating to see how our brains adapt and grow throughout our lives. Take a look! Link to video: https://lnkd.in/gFw5a9HF

Our brain is a master multitasker, constantly decoding signals from your muscles, joints, and tendons to figure out exactly where your body is in space. This remarkable ability is called proprioception, and it’s something most of us rely on every moment without even realizing it. Think about it - when you walk, your brain knows the position of each foot as it hits the ground. When you type, it guides your fingers to the right keys without needing to look. Even something as simple as scratching an itch or reaching for your cup of coffee happens seamlessly, thanks to proprioception. It’s like having a built-in GPS and control system that keeps everything running smoothly. This sense works so effortlessly in the background that it often goes unnoticed - until something goes wrong. Imagine trying to navigate a dark room where you can’t see or feel your surroundings. That’s what it can feel like when proprioception is disrupted: your movements become clumsy, uncoordinated, and unpredictable. It’s a bit like trying to operate a machine where the parts aren’t aligned properly - nothing functions quite as it should. Proprioception is the unsung hero of our everyday lives, quietly ensuring that we can move through the world with confidence, precision, and grace. And the more we understand and care for this system, the better we can support our body’s ability to move and adapt. #Proprioception #BodyAwareness #Neuroscience #MovementScience #MindBodyConnection #EffortlessMovement #BrainHealth #BodyIntelligence #HumanPerformance #FunctionalMovement #SixthSense #BodyMindBalance #WellnessJourney #Coordination #Adaptability

Do you want to know how to establish a coherent baseline in your life? It's got to start between your heart and your brain. So let's first talk about your brain's actual ability to adapt to learn new things. This is actually called neuroplasticity, the adaptive brain. Our brain can change and adapt and it can learn new things and so we are always learning and approaching life. And re establishing new baselines and experiences. Some are optimum, some are not just by our brain's ability to adapt, or maybe be stuck in an unhealthy pattern. #quantumphysics #neuroplasticity #heart #brain #sciencetok
