Holiday Reading Recommendation ~ Kris Shankar's research on self-- with and without instrumentation -- and his "lab reports" published on Medium are a revelation on what's going on under the proverbial hood. I should admit, I am more of the uninstrumented kind, use my own somatic and nervous system to tell me what is going on within me -- i.e., with their analog KPI's -- on things such as cold showers, fasting for 24+ hours, or breathwork and hill runs in freezing temperatures wearing just shorts in winter. Nevertheless, the reading on an instrumented cycle with a digital tachometer is certainly far more accurate as to what is going on than the hum and vibration of a Super Hawk Honda Motorcycle being ridden in the Dakotas, as one Robert Pirsig did. 🙂 Kris's findings will help one and all to modulate the rhythms of one's life during work and play, and everything in between.
