🌍 Happy World Environment Day! 🌿 Now, where else would one want to work from ? #Seoul #WHO #ACE #GDSO #Learning #Thankful World Health Organization Let's keep the focus on the environment-health nexus to nurture our planet for the sake of our health & generations to come: 🏞️ Clean Air Health Impact: Air pollution causes 7 million premature deaths annually (WHO). Cleaner air means fewer respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. 🚰 Clean Water Health Impact: 2 billion people drink contaminated water, leading to diseases like cholera (WHO). Protecting water sources ensures healthier lives. 🌳 Green Spaces Mental Health: Time in nature reduces stress, anxiety, and depression. Urban green areas promote mental well-being. 🌡️ Climate Change Health Impact: Extreme weather events affect health through heatwaves, floods, and more. Reducing our carbon footprint benefits everyone. 🌱 Act Now Every Action Counts, Every Policy Matters: Plant trees, reduce plastic use, and support eco-friendly products for a healthier planet and future. #WorldEnvironmentDay #HealthyPlanetHealthyPeople #EcoFriendly Johannah (Yoyo) Wegerdt Josselyn Mothe Yebin Na Enkhtsetseg Shinee Akeem Ali Sally Edwards Vimal Deo Lkhasuren Oyuntogos Crystal Pae

🌍🌬️ Breathe Life into a Healthier Future 🌍🌬️ Air pollution is a silent killer, claiming 8.1 million lives globally in 2021. 🌬️😷 The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in partnership with the Health Effects Institute, an independent United States-based nonprofit organization, recently released a report that says air pollution is increasingly impacting human health, becoming the second leading global risk factor for death. The report also says that children under 5 years old are especially vulnerable, with health effects including premature birth, low birth weight, asthma, and lung diseases. In 2021, exposure to air pollution was linked to more than 700,000 deaths of children under 5 years old, making it the second leading risk factor for death globally for this age group, after malnutrition.🏠🔥 Our kids deserve better! Let's fight for cleaner air and protect their futures.✨ Your Green Action is committed to combating this crisis. We advocate for clean air and sustainable practices to protect our planet and its inhabitants. 🌱Join us in promoting sustainable solutions and reducing air pollution. Together, we can safeguard the well-being of all living beings. 🌿🌏 #YourGreenAction #CleanAir #HealthyChildren #SDG3 #SDG13 #WangTangangFoundation #SustainableFarming #EcosystemRestoration #YGA #SustainableLifestyle #EcoFriendlyTips #ActNow #SustainableFuture #InvolveEveryone

Our Planet's Health = Our Health Think about it: the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink and where we live; these things all affect our health. It's clear: a healthy planet means healthy people. From clean air to safe food, our environment has a big impact on how we feel. Dirty air can cause breathing problems, dirty water can make us sick and pollution can lead to other health issues. A healthy environment also gives us important things we need, like clean air and water and helps us grow food. To make sure everyone is healthy (#HealthForAll), we need to take care of our planet. This means: ✅Using clean energy instead of fossil fuels. ✅Farming in ways that are good for the soil and don't pollute. ✅Protecting nature and all the plants and animals. ✅Learning more about how our health and the planet's health are connected. When we protect our planet, we're also protecting our own health and building a better future for everyone. #HealthForAll #EnvironmentalProtection #SustainableFuture #HumanHealth #PlanetHealth United Nations World Health Organization International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) UN Environment Programme

Fighting Climate Change is Fighting for Lives ✅ Cleaner air means fewer asthma and heart disease cases. ✅ Sustainable food systems combat malnutrition and chronic illnesses. ✅ Renewable energy reduces health risks from fossil fuel pollution. The connection is clear: climate action saves lives. Yet, the healthcare sector can do more—advocate for sustainability, innovate low-carbon practices, and protect those most vulnerable to climate-induced health risks. It’s time to elevate public health in climate conversations. Together, we can build a future where healthier people and a healthier planet go hand in hand. 👉 How can we as professionals integrate health equity into climate action? #Sustainability #PublicHealthMatters #ClimateAction #WasteManagement #SustainabilityLeadership #HealthForAll

Let's take a moment to consider the connection between the health of our planet and our own health. Environmental issues such as air quality, water sanitation, and climate change have a direct impact on global health. These problems are not far away; they are affecting communities all over the world right now. Poor air quality and polluted water sources can cause chronic health problems, depriving communities of their potential. The threat of climate change exacerbates these challenges, and if we do not take action, we can expect more frequent and severe health crises in the future. Let's inspire each other to make sustainable choices that will not only protect our environment but also enhance global health. Earth Day 2024 is a reminder for us all to take action. How will you contribute to creating a healthier planet for future generations? Join me in making a difference. #EarthDay2024 #GlobalHealth #Sustainability #ActOnClimate #VolunteerForChange
