One of the biggest questions we hear when speaking to new brands about getting Certified Remediation Free, is whether or not they can send off failed batches for processing into concentrates or other products; rather than send their cured cannabis through a machine to inhibit/kill mold and sell said product as smokeable flower.
Our Answer? YES!
In fact, we encourage it!
This is how cannabis production has worked for decades in developed markets.
While no one likes failed batches, if and when it happens, send it off for processing: Turn it into concentrates, edibles, or other products!
We get the confusion, because the act of producing distillate and other concentrates does remediate the mold within the biomass/raw flower, removing it from the finished product.
That said, the focus of our program is ensuring a brand's cured flower offerings don’t undergo any post-harvest processing, whatsoever.
Keep the cured weed in perfect condition, completely unadulterated post harvest, and we’re good to go 🙂
Happy growing!
