And I'm totally fine with it. 1️⃣ ❌ No linear TV ✂ a historic acceleration in #cordcutting More and more people are cutting the cord and watching sports online. ◾According to MoffettNathanson, the 🇺🇸 US pay-TV sector reported its worst Q3 ever, with roughly 889,000 subscribers abandoning cable (Q3 2023). ◾Traditional cable, satellite and telco providers face an unprecedented exodus, losing 11.7% of subscribers YoY. 🌊 This trend displays no indication of stopping. 2️⃣ ✅ Connected TV (time) is on the rise The growing popularity of "cord-cutting" translates into an increase in viewership on #ctv devices. ◾According to eMarketer, the average time spent watching CTV in the US will reach 3 hours and 20 minutes in 2025. ⏰ ◾This is almost an hour more than the average in 2021 (2 hours and 24 minutes). 3️⃣ 🎨 #multi The model of passively watching a single game from start to finish is becoming obsolete.◾Viewers prefer to follow multiple events #simultaneously on various devices, combining it with other activities such as checking their phones or working on laptops. 4️⃣ ⚽ #live stats In addition to the game itself, viewers expect access to #realtime statistics and updates.
