Actually, this (re)post is not about the video in that post, or what NeoMesh is or what it can do. Its about framing a clear concept. We - NeoCortec - have for the past many exhibitions been allowed to establish an ad-hoc sensor network at the exhibitions we have been to. In order to measure something simple yet useful, something everybody can relate to, have we made the network measure Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) data. For NeoCortec, it started as an demonstration about the EASE of ESTABLISHING a network: Just the stick the battery operated sensors where you want them, and voilá! Data is flowing into the gateway and the cloud. But it soon also became a demonstration of how easy it may be to make the the hardware. The sensors were built by our 2nd year DTU student / intern Markus Rytter. Ok, he is more-than-usual bright, but still - if he can do it then most other people can do that too (albeit at twice the time 😉). Buuuut.....as we continue to do this thing at most exhibitions we go to, two challenges are starting to emerge: (1) We are NOT making IAQ sensors, people counter or any other sensors. We ENABLE networks of this type of sensors. YOU do the sensors. And... (2) we are not an exhibition ad-hoc sensor network builder - we are an ANY-TYPE-building (or farm field, or factory, or airport, or cruise ship...) network enabler. So doing these exhibition demos is an act of balancing - show what is possible and can be done, but at the same time make sure that we communicate clearly what we actually are selling. I don't have the clear solution yet. We try, we experience and we correct as we go. How do you do a clear & crisp marketing on POSSIBILITIES with the products or services you sell, yet focus on SELLING whatever products or service that you offer? Any thoughts, outbursts, advice or past experience on how to do this balancing is appreaciated :)

In order to build this no guesswork service from Lightstorm, we deployed tiny robots 🤖! At your command these robotic arms untwist the twisted cables and make the right connection, delivering Gigabit Connectivity at speeds faster than making cutting chai. Nobody asked us to make customer delivery faster, we did it anyways. We did this for nextgen networking professionals joining the cloud economy. We did this to pull the sluggish Software Define Networking out of open forum debates. We did this to show the art of possibilities to our competition.
