Steps we can take to help restore our planet and wellbeing It’s not always easy being 'green', it can be more costly, sometimes it can limit choices (though for me less choice is not always a bad thing), but the changes you make do feel good and do good. There are big things and little things we can all do: - from where we shop - what we buy - who we invest with - who we support - what we use our voice for - how we reuse, repurpose or mend things - and how we inspire others… No matter the size, all actions count and add up to help restore our beautiful planet. It's hard to describe the past autumn in a few sentences (and it's not over yet 😉 ). 💡 Key words: charity, busy, amazing, varied, exhausting, travelling the country, working in the sun and rain, meeting and working with fantastic people. This autumn we held charity team-building events for 8 companies and awarness-raising programme for 3; all in 32 days. 🤗 We helped 3 national parks, 4 children's homes, 2 environmental NGOs, 1 home for the elderly, 1 community centre, 1 community garden together with volunteers from companies. ⛏ We built bird boxes, raised flower beds, composting bins, stork nests, painted rooms, eliminated invasive species, renovated information boards, etc. I have had the opportunity to field visit, plan the events, lead programmes, give presentations, demonstrate awareness raising games and of course improvise when nothing went as planned. 🌺 Meanwhile, we have 2 menstruation programmes running which I manage, so I often found myself checking in to international meetings from the conservation area in my wellies. 😆 I'm very proud of our work and the team we've done it with. 💚 Zöldövezet Társulás Egyesület It is fantastic to benefit from these experiences. #environmentprotection #charity #charityteambuilding

🐐 The best #Christmas present I ever received was a goat. Second best? Well, that's a toss-up between lifesaving malaria nets and a pile of elephant poop. 💩 Of course, I didn't actually receive any of these gifts, and that's what made them so special. I didn't need another environmentally-unfriendly, unnecessary junk gift, and thankfully, my loved ones didn't buckle to the social obligation to get me one.
