At Melanie Casey Jewelry, we value… …integrity. We don't take shortcuts and we don't compromise. We uphold high standards and reliably make decisions that are in support of our standards. …caretaking. “What will benefit our client most?” is the first question we ask when we make decisions. Extraordinary customer care is our first and most impactful priority, and we likewise care for our own team members. …intentionality. Our designs are created intentionally, with every prong and accent diamond serving a purpose. Similarly, our interactions with each other and with our clients are done with intention, never haphazardly. …flexibility. The only constant is change. We are consistently flexible, pivot regularly, and hold "the way it's always been done" in contempt. …innovation. Historical limitations placed on design, execution, people, and processes are obsolete. We never stop innovating and we seek new ways of doing things because creativity is not limited to design. …accountability. We own our choices and actions and take responsibility for the outcomes we produce without blaming external circumstances or other people. …collaboration. We work together to find the best solutions. We are open minded and ask questions, and we rely on combined knowledge to produce the best results. …improvement. We are never satisfied with the status quo. We seek out new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and client experience. …growth. We operate with a growth mindset in all we do. We provide an environment of professional development for our team and work to increase our presence in the fine jewelry industry. Why would you hire mannequins, clothes rails or steamers? 💲It's cost-effective: only pay for the product for the time you need it, no large upfront cost of buying a product that you don't need long term 〰️It's flexible: hire a product for as little as 1 day 😩It's hassle-free: we offer delivery or collection from HQ 📦No need to store it: if you only attend exhibitions twice and year, hiring saves you the headache of finding storage space Think hiring might be the solution for you? It seems like the art of genuine service is dead. I've switched dry cleaners three times, yet my shirts still come back creased—completely missing the point of the service! 😡 If your business can't guarantee quality, maybe it shouldn't exist. Putting your name on something means it should be exceptional. No exceptions. On a brighter note, check out my latest suit addition—handmade and about to join the wardrobe lineup! Any thoughts on the three-piece??

Size Matters! I am wondering about the advantages of working for a large jewelry company vs a small jewelry store… Larger organizations have structure with room to advance. Smaller stores often require more autonomy that fosters cross-functional responsibility. What pros and cons have you experienced working for different size jewelry businesses? I'll never forget the day Melina, my client and owner of Melina’s Jewelry in the UK reached out to me in a state of panic. Her master jeweler, Alex, had suddenly passed away, leaving her business vulnerable to financial instability and operational disruption. As her trusted insurance expert, I knew exactly what to do. I helped Melina tap into the power of Key Man Insurance, a policy that would prove to be a lifeline for her business. Here's how... •Hire a temporary designer to keep the business running. •Cover the cost of bringing in a top recruitment firm to find a new head designer. •Offer compensation to clients who faced delays, preserving her brand’s reputation. PS: If you were in Melina’s shoes what would you have done? Don’t let the loss of a critical team member derail your business

👔 First Impressions Matter: The Power of Attire in Sales Ever wondered how much your attire influences client perceptions during a first meeting? As a recruiter with decades of experience, I've seen firsthand how dressing the part can make or break a deal. When you walk into a room, your outfit speaks volumes before you even say a word. Clients often judge your professionalism and reliability based on your appearance. A well-tailored suit or a polished business casual look can instill confidence and trust. On the flip side, an overly casual or sloppy outfit might send the wrong message about your commitment and attention to detail. But it's not just about looking sharp. Your attire should also align with the client's industry and company culture. For instance, a tech startup might appreciate a more relaxed, innovative style, while a financial firm may expect traditional business attire. Understanding these nuances can set the stage for a successful relationship. 🔑 Key Takeaways: ✔️ Dress to impress, but also to fit the client's culture. ✔️ Your attire should reflect professionalism and reliability. ✔️ First impressions can significantly impact client trust and confidence. What are your thoughts on the impact of attire in sales? Share your experiences in the comments below! #SalesTips #FirstImpressions #Professionalism Career #job

There is no way to do #retail well without storytelling. At Helzberg Diamonds, the story is about partnership with our customers – and no, not just marriage. Our customer is not just buying jewelry, they are creating a memory, and it starts well before they connect with Helzberg. Our job is to add to what is already in the making, with a chapter that is memorable and enduring. We’ve learned over the last 100+ years that our customers come to us for much more than a piece of jewelry. They shop with us because they trust us to help with their story. We have learned the importance of storytelling to support our connection with our existing customers and those we hope to gain. And as a brand leader, how we evolve our story to fit in the lives of today’s consumer is exciting and ever-changing. Consumers today are demanding, as they should be, and it’s our job to make sure we are relevant, interesting and that our values as a company resonate with them. How has #storytelling shown up in your career? ⬇️

I see people on business and social posts in my industry trying to explain the inner working of a garment and HOW its made. While quality is important and the inner workings of a garment should make it feel good its really not what interests people. The truth of the matter is people are more interested in the WHAT. WHAT will the garment do for me based on the cut, style, colour and fabric. Is the CUT -good looking Does the STYLE - reflect today Is the COLOUR - flattering Will the FABRIC - compliment Good quality yes but the more interesting story is WHAT does it do for me?

In the business world, first impressions are everything. The way you present yourself through your attire and grooming can make or break your professional image. 💼 I learned this lesson the hard way years ago, but the memory still sticks with me. My business partner and I had a crucial meeting scheduled with a conservative client to discuss a potential project. We had also invited a key contractor, Jim, to attend. This deal was significant for us, and we wanted to make the best impression possible. We’d asked Jim to wear a tie for this important meeting. I’ll never forget our potential client’s face when Jim walked in in a bright yellow t-shirt, carrying a hanger with a tie on it which he promptly hung on the back of the client’s door. 😳 Everyone got a laugh out of it, but my partner and I had to do a lot of dancing to make up for his perceived disrespect and lack of professionalism. I’m not suggesting that you should wear a tie or a suit or any such thing; I’m just reminding you that your appearance is a powerful communication tool that speaks volumes about your credibility, competence, and attention to detail. 🙌 If you want to do business with someone, don’t create unnecessary obstacles through your appearance. Your best strategy is to use your attire to enhance your impact and reinforce your professionalism.
