On November 4, 1999, the Oklahoma City National Memorial launched the 168 Days Campaign as part of the final fundraising leading up to the dedication of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial on April 19, 2000. Each day, the campaign remembered one person who was killed. The Memorial now has the 168 Days of Remembrance, dedicating each day leading to the anniversary to remembering those who were killed, honoring those who survived and showing gratitude to the rescue workers and first responders. #FromTheArchives

Seriously, Saurin Parikh, MBA and NJEDA not only have the resources, but the literal desire to help small businesses grow! I know that when I'm ready to make a move, I'll be contacting Suarin, a stand-up guy, to discuss how the NJEDA can help support my plans. You should do the same! #busines #businessdevelopment #njeda #loans #grants

As we head into the next general election, this event will help charities and funders to better understand current Conservative views on civil society, and what it means for them. We will be joined by Samuel Kasumu, former Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Civil Society and Communities, and Jo Gideon MP to discuss: What differing approaches to the role of civil society are there in the Conservative Party? What might these differing approaches mean for civil society? How can the sector best influence the Conservative party in the run-up to, and following, the general election? https://lnkd.in/etFybKQ3

So many business owners could get behind a project such as this. These developments going up everywhere in Truro, but I have not heard anything about affordable housing in the mix. There are so many of our families, friends and neighbours are homeless with not enough beds. Folks don't need a great big space...only big enough for a bed, small kitchen area and a bathroom with a sink, toilet and upright shower. This would get people out of the cold and off the street for the winter. Have the Town donate some land for a project, donations of materials to build from local businesses, volunteers to come together with their skills. tools and the willingness to help...you never know, you might be helping a friend who is hitting rock bottom. Think about this...it can be done if everyone brings whatever the can to help. Don't have another cold winter watching folks sleeping on benches or behind buildings...the people of Truro are better than that.
