Gender-based violence is a major consequence of gender inequality. Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. This 2024 campaign Unite to #EndViolence against #Women. Today, we join across the globe to raise our voices against gender-based violence. This year's theme, "30 Years of Advancing Collective Action to End Violence Against Women and Children.” This year's campaign emphasizes addressing the root causes of gender-based violence (GBV), promoting positive masculinity, enhancing gender equity, and creating economic opportunities for women and children. It aims to accelerate accountability across all sectors and emphasizes a whole-of-society approach to combating GBV.
