As we continue to lend our voices to end Gender Based Violence, it is our hope that we do not have a repeat of last year in 2024. Let's use this year's campaign to make the world, and particularly Africa safer for women, by calling on government, organization, and people everywhere to speak out for women. #16days #16daysofactivism #16daysofactivismagainstgenderbasedviolence

Gender-based violence is a major consequence of gender inequality. Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. This 2024 campaign Unite to #EndViolence against #Women. Violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, peace as well as to the fulfillment of women and girls’ human rights. All in all, the promise of the #SustainableDevelopmentGoals (SDGs) - to leave no one behind - cannot be fulfilled without putting an end to violence against women and girls. #GenderEquality #16Days of Activism #NoExcuse #UN

Today, we join across the globe to raise our voices against gender-based violence. This year's theme, "30 Years of Advancing Collective Action to End Violence Against Women and Children.” This year's campaign emphasizes addressing the root causes of gender-based violence (GBV), promoting positive masculinity, enhancing gender equity, and creating economic opportunities for women and children. It aims to accelerate accountability across all sectors and emphasizes a whole-of-society approach to combating GBV. The campaign also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, underlining the need for recommitment and action to achieve its goals #16DaysOfActivism #EndGenderBasedViolence #UniteForChange #Empowerment #
