Just living daily life can be challenging for many people with long-term health conditions. So adding exercise into the mix can often feel, not just hard, but near impossible. Fatigue, pain, restricted mobility and side effects from meditation can stop people from doing physical activity in their daily lives. Our research shows that almost half of people living with a long-term health condition, or a disability, said it stopped them from doing more physical activity in a typical week. We know that moving our bodies regularly can support good mental health and wellbeing. So we hope these stories inspire others to try taking #MomentsforMovement this Mental Health Awareness Week – and beyond. 💜 Read our blog on moving for your mental health with a long-term condition: https://bit.ly/4dx9pcm #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

Prioritizing Mental Health, One Step at a Time Mental health touches every part of our lives—from how we manage stress to how we connect with others and navigate challenges. Yet, it’s often overlooked or pushed aside. The truth is, taking care of our mental well-being is just as essential as physical health. It influences how we think, feel, and perform, shaping both our personal and professional lives. This #MentalHealthMonth, let’s break the stigma around mental health conversations. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength. Whether through therapy, journaling, mindfulness, or simply venting to a friend, everyone’s journey to mental well-being looks different, and that’s okay. Small steps like setting healthy boundaries, taking breaks, or saying “no” without guilt are just as important. If you’re struggling, know that you’re not alone. Reaching out, even in the smallest way, can be life-changing. And if you’re in a good place, consider checking in on others—sometimes, a simple “How are you really doing?” can mean the world. So, how do you care for your mental health? Let’s keep this conversation going beyond October because mental well-being matters every day. #MentalHealthAwareness #BreakTheStigma #EmotionalWellbeing #SelfCareMatters #YouAreNotAlone #MentalWellbeing

Let's talk about mental health..... Taking care of our mental health is an ongoing journey, one that requires patience, compassion, and a commitment to self-care. In a world that often prioritizes productivity over well-being, it's essential to pause and reflect on our mental wellness. Each of us faces unique challenges, from managing stress and anxiety to coping with loss and uncertainty. Yet, amidst these struggles, there is strength in vulnerability and power in seeking support. As we navigate the complexities of life, let's remember that it's okay not to be okay. Let's create spaces where conversations about mental health are welcomed and embraced, where individuals feel safe to share their experiences without fear of judgment. Let's educate ourselves and others about the importance of mental health literacy and the resources available for support. Whether it's practicing mindfulness, seeking therapy, or engaging in creative outlets, there are countless ways to prioritize our mental well-being. Let's commit to cultivating a culture of care, where self-love and compassion are celebrated, and no one feels alone in their struggles. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and build a more supportive and empathetic community. Let's journey forward with courage, resilience, and a deep understanding that our mental health matters. #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters #BreakingTheStigma

We're proud to support the Mental Health Foundation for Mental Health Awareness Week, taking place from May 13th to May 19th. Together, let's work towards fostering a world where mental wellbeing thrives for everyone. This year, the focus is on movement. Regular physical activity is not only beneficial for our physical health but also plays a vital role in maintaining our mental well-being. The connection between our physical and mental health is profound, with movement serving as a powerful tool for enhancing our overall well-being. Engaging in activities such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or even dancing for just 10 minutes can have a significant impact on our mood, cognitive function, and energy levels. This burst of physical activity stimulates the release of endorphins, often referred to as "feel-good" hormones, which can elevate mood and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Very Good Morningto you All International Day for Mental Health: October 10, 2024 Today, we recognize the importance of mental health and the crucial role it plays in our overall well-being. As we reflect on this day, let’s remember the powerful words of Viktor Frankl: “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” Mental health is our responsibility, and nurturing it is a vital part of our inner progress. To truly enjoy our journey through life, it’s essential to assess our daily habits and surroundings. Consider who you spend your time with, the activities you engage in, and the choices you make regarding food and community. Surround yourself with positivity—supportive friends, an active lifestyle, and a nourishing environment. Let’s prioritize our mental health and take proactive steps toward a healthier, happier life. Enjoy your journey #MentalHealthMatters #InternationalMentalHealthDay #positivity #mentalHealth Mai Fawzy

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we are reminded that mental health is not just a personal journey but a shared responsibility. Every conversation, every small act of kindness, and every step toward understanding helps us create a more supportive world. In our fast-paced, goal-driven lives, it's easy to overlook our own well-being and that of those around us. Let’s take a moment today to reflect, connect, and support one another. Prioritising mental health isn’t just about self-care; it’s about creating a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Self-Reflection Matters: Let’s take a few moments today to ask ourselves, “How am I really doing?” This simple question can be incredibly powerful in understanding our mental state, reconnecting with our needs, and recognising when we may need support. Self-reflection is a pathway to self-awareness, and that’s where true growth begins. 3 Ways We Can Make a Difference: Open Up Conversations: Talking about mental health shouldn’t be taboo. The more we speak openly, the more we normalize these discussions. Check in on Each Other: A simple “How are you?” can go a long way. Let’s make it meaningful and be present in our interactions. Prioritise Self-Compassion: Being kind to ourselves is essential. Mistakes and setbacks are part of growth; let’s treat ourselves with the same empathy we offer others. Let’s honor World Mental Health Day by committing to a brighter, kinder, and healthier world—one conversation at a time. 🌈💙 #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #TogetherForMentalHealth #SupportAndStrength #KindnessMatters

🌍 **On this World Mental Health Day**, let’s set an intention to commit to our well-being and practice patience with ourselves if we haven't yet achieved the goals we set for 2024. The journey to mental wellness isn’t linear, and it's essential to treat ourselves with the same kindness we offer others. In my recent article, I explored how setting **daily intentions** helped a neurodiverse client transform frustration into empowerment. This simple practice of focusing on small, achievable steps and approaching setbacks with compassion can make a profound impact on our mental health. As we reflect on this day, let’s remember: progress doesn’t always mean hitting every milestone. It means honoring the path we’re on, embracing self-compassion, and finding resilience in each moment. How are you setting intentions for your well-being today? #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCompassion #Resilience #PositiveIntentions #Neurodiversity #DeepListening #2024Goals
