As our 1 in 5 Campaign comes to a close on World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded of the powerful stories that have been shared—stories of resilience and hope. The truth is, mental illness affects us all. It’s a mother, a brother, a friend. It’s 1 in 5 Canadians, each living a story that deserves our attention, our understanding, and our support. But raising awareness is only the first step. To create real change, we need to act. Your donation today can directly impact the lives of those who are struggling in silence. It can help fund crucial mental health services, provide access to therapy, and give someone the hope they need to keep going. If 1 in 5 Albertans gave to this campaign, imagine the lives that could be changed. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Support this fight for mental wellness. Donate now to the Mental Health Foundation’s 1 in 5 Campaign via the link in our bio and stand with those who need us most. Together, we can create a healthier, more compassionate Alberta. We have a better future in mind, and we hope you do too. #OneInFive_AB #MentalHealthMatters #SupportMentalHealth #DonateNow

May is mental health awareness month people. This year my family will ride 50KM together and pay tribute to the way too many people in our lives we’ve lost to suicide. Consider joining my team and riding, or donate. Your donation is vital so Jack.org can continue its critical work of helping youth understand their mental health and seek help without shame. Team Westcoast: To Join: https://lnkd.in/eGS2G-QV To Donate: https://lnkd.in/e3isbVG5 Here’s what else you can do: 1. Complete the (free) Be There Certificate and learn how to be there for others. Destigmatizing mental health is a matter of life and death. https://lnkd.in/ek5idjMN 2. Spread the word about Be There, friends, family, co-workers, shout it from the rooftops. 3. Stop thinking it couldn’t happen to anyone in your circle…it can. Learn to get comfortable discussing matters of mental health. Take care of yourself. Wishing you all good mental health. #MayMentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealth #Suicide

Announcement: Mind Over Miles: 24-Hour Challenge🏃♂️ I am thrilled to announce an upcoming event dedicated to raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention! On April 13th and 14th, Myself and some close friends will be embarking on a monumental journey: running for 24 hours straight to support those in need. This incredible endeavor is more than just a run; it's a mission to ignite conversations, break stigmas, and offer hope to those battling with mental health challenges. Through this event, I aim to shed light on the importance of mental wellness and the need for accessible support systems. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be directed to two esteemed charities in Buffalo, devoted to suicide prevention and mental health initiatives. Together, we can make a difference in our community and beyond. How You Can Help: • Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, counts towards our collective impact. Please consider donating through the link below. • Spread the Word: Share this post and encourage others to join us in our mission. We know Mother’s Day can be joyous, but also difficult for some. Right now, at least 1 in 5 mums are experiencing mental health problems. Too often this goes undiagnosed and untreated, and tragically death by suicide is the biggest killer of mums in the year after giving birth. This Mother’s Day, please can you help by giving the gift of improving maternal mental health care with a donation to The Maternal Mental Health Alliance. The Maternal Mental Health Alliance is a network of leading national charities, health bodies, voluntary sector organisations, and a community of parents who have survived maternal mental health problems. We campaign tirelessly for the collective benefit of parents now and in the future, bringing real life experience and the facts on the ground to those who decide whether maternal mental health gets the right level of investment. We’re proud to say, we’ve made a huge difference (in fact, we’ve changed the landscape) but we need to do more because the numbers of mums affected are stark and rising. Covid didn’t help and access to care is still a postcode lottery. We urgently need your help. Please support us so we can support others this Mother’s Day. https://lnkd.in/gXAFkiQR

The conversation doesn't end with Mental Health Awareness Week. With the Kind2Mind campaign, we're committed to providing ongoing support to children with SEMH needs. Mental health issues affect 1 in 6 children in the UK, yet many do not receive the support they need. This is a devastating statistic, and it is one we fear will only worsen if things do not change. There is still 8 days left of the Kind2Mind campaign where your support to us and the children we help will be DOUBLED. Your donation can help us continue our important work in providing crucial therapeutic interventions to children in need and make a lasting, life-changing impact on children's mental health. Please allow your act of kindness today be doubled by giving through the link below. With your help, we can help to stop children living in emotional distress and fear.
