You need to check this report. The 2024 Global eCommerce Payments & Fraud Report, covering 35 countries and drawing insights from over 1,100 merchants, reveals fascinating trends in payment methods. Approximately 75% of eCommerce merchants now accept cards and digital wallet payments, meeting consumer demand for convenience and flexibility. Real-time payments and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options are also seeing increasing adoption, showing the dynamic nature of payment preferences. Interestingly, 60% of consumers indicated they would make purchases elsewhere if their preferred payment options were not available, highlighting the necessity of offering diverse payment methods. One particularly noteworthy finding is the impact of Visa’s Click to Pay solution. Retailers adopting Click to Pay could see up to a 35% increase in revenues, with an annual increase of €51bn in SMB eCommerce sales in the UK and EU.
