𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 ⛈️ While the threat of thunderstorms and severe weather looms up and down the East Coast through this evening, the area with the greatest chance of seeing multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms will be northeastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, and southeastern New York. The primary hazard with these storms will be damaging wind gusts upwards of 60 mph but hail greater than 1" in diameter and an isolated tornado will also be possible with the most severe storms. These storms will also contain heavy downpours which may lead to localized flooding and flash flooding in locations where training occurs. Within the Enhanced Risk area, which spans from the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles eastward into north-central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas, there's the potential for damaging wind gusts above 60 mph, large hail over 2" in diameter, and a few isolated tornadoes that may become strong.
