💬 Private Equity remains a cornerstone allocation to future proof portfolio outperformance. 📈Buyout funds come in all shapes and sizes. It is crucial to be invested in the top decile for investors to be rewarded for the illiquidity risk and to surf on the value creation premium. 🌎 Gravity center of buyout allocations remain the US and Europe with interesting opportunities in the European lower Mid-Market. Besides, allocators see interesting opportunities arise in secondaries to drive liquidity. Excited to have joined Kerrine Koh, CFA, CAIA from Hamilton Lane ,Meiping Yap from Stonehage Fleming and Tuck Meng Yee from JRT Partners at #SuperReturnAsia on portfolio construction.

A new structural dynamic appeared in the European capital markets in 2024, one that is predicted to continue into 2025, of a disparity in strategic options available for sellers of large and mid-cap companies. The dynamic is one where sellers of large-cap companies have to focus on public markets over private sales to sponsors to exit their companies, given how difficult it has been for private equity companies to raise the capital needed to acquire larger assets.
