The magic circle is an important concept to understand when designing decision focused games.

Clash of Vikings https://lnkd.in/dFfdiD9H In the past, the Vikings were recognized as the best warriors of their time. Their life was one of war, often raiding for loot and conquering many lands. They lived in clans and often fought among themselves. In Clash of Vikings we will be able to take part in the conflict between two clans of Vikings. At the beginning of the game we need to choose the side that we are going to play. Then the lands of the two clans will appear on the screen, divided by the river with bridges over it. Each clan has defensive structures set up so that they can shoot through all visible space. There is a special control panel at the bottom of the screen for combat operations. We will use it to send our warriors into battle, including infantrymen, archers, and mages. There are also techniques for shooting and throwing fireballs. By alternating all these manipulations, we will fight the enemy and defend our towers. The winner is the one who first destroys the tower of the enemy. Clash of Vikings has an interesting gameplay and great graphics. You can play this strategy game on our website with pleasure.

Week 31 Challenge: ‘Forward Observer’ Historically, Forward Observers would secretly move into a position of observation and would call in indirect fire on the enemy. This mode of gameplay brings that spirit in with a similar twist as the previous ’Sniper’ challenges. Objective: eliminate the opposing player’s mortar or the mortar’s ability to fight by eliminating the opposing Platoon Leader game piece. Setup: Blue player places all obstacle game pieces anywhere on the game boards. Next Red Player, using all available game pieces, places them anywhere in the upper three game boards. Blue player gets only four game pieces (60mm Mortar, ICV, PL, and RTO) and tracks their movements on a separate gridded paper. Special Rules: all blue player game pieces (60mm Mortar, ICV, PL, RTO) are only revealed if they are involved in an attack, or used as supportive fire during an attack, or if the red player’s movement lands on or would pass over those game pieces. At this time, the blue player will place those effected pieces on the game board. After being exposed, the exposed game pieces can return to being hidden on blue player’s next turn. The result from the Conference how to integrate Climate and Security into PME are important advise how to bring C&S into our programs. The advice to concider are: 1. Climate Security Education Must Complement, Not Compete With, Other Educational Goals. 2. Senior Champions Are Critical For Success And Operational Level Must Be a Primary Target. 3. Climate Gaming is Good, Including Climate in Existing Exercises and Wargames Is Even Better. 4. A Range of Approaches and Robust Collaboration Are Needed. Conclusion Participants agreed that international collaboration and resource-sharing can accelerate success in integrating climate change into professional military education. That is why we have created a resource compendium (see Annex 2) to circulate ideas and resources on these topics, providing opportunities for students, educators, and professionals alike to prepare to navigate a climate-changed world.
