𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗼: 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! 🌏 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 “𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗨𝗥𝗘” Our Global Conference 2024, held on November 22, 2024, brought together over 60 members of the SCS-Invictus Group family from 18 regions in Tokyo, Japan. This year’s theme, “𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦”, challenged us to reframe the way we think about setbacks, transforming them into powerful opportunities for growth. With stories, reflections, and insightful discussions, the conference left us inspired to see failure not as a dead-end but as fuel for innovation and progress. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 As we shared stories of both individual and firm-wide experiences, we discovered how moments of failure have shaped our journey—and how they can guide us as we navigate a sustainable future grounded in the principles of #𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘱𝘰𝘠𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘪: · Good for us as service providers. · Good for our clients. · Good for society. 🌍 Yesterday, ALICE successfully held its 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, marking the end of a remarkable year - 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆! The event, chaired by François-Régis LE TOURNEAU, ALICE Chair & Vice President Corporate Responsibility at L'Oréal, gathered 130 participants and reflected on a year of significant achievements, including: ✅ Welcoming 𝟮𝟮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, strengthening our collaborative network. ✅ ALICE getting involved in the following new EU-funded projects: AutoMoTIF, AUTOSUP, GreenTurn Project, CLEVER, and FOREMAST. ✅ Organising the first 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁, with 180 participants and 40 speakers. ✅ Expanding the ALICE Secretariat to 𝟭𝟴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 to support our growth and ambitious agenda. When considering #diversity, the German Mittelstand does not come to mind immediately. But is this entirely fair? Yes and No. __💡 𝐘𝐞𝐬, because the German Mittelstand falls behind startups, scale-ups, and corporates, with an average Global Diversity score of 33 out of 100 (learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dhzD2vbw). Our experience shows that the Mittelstand faces challenges in adopting international hiring practices, starting with translating contracts into English. The predominance of the German language 🇩🇪, while understandable particularly in certain industries, is undeniably a significant barrier to hiring international talent. __💡 𝐍𝐨, because there's a noticeable shift within the German Mittelstand. 17 years ago, I had the opportunity to attend a trade fair in Cologne for the first time. A lot has changed since then, but the fascination for Cologne remains the same. This year's Zukunft Personal was a real highlight in 2024. It was fantastic to experience the exciting discussions, catching presentations, and valuable insights together with Mark Van De Logt, Tom van Hooff, Dilan Koc, Philipp Prien and so many more. My personal takeaway: Our employees are the key to our future. In the "War for Talents," they are more than ever the decisive factor. The challenges associated with hybrid work are increasingly at the focus of a fundamentally transforming world of work. And the demand for innovative and sustainable solutions continues to grow. Cultural openness is just part of who we are here at NTT DATA. Thanks to Thomas Mesow I heard about Germany’s new KulturPass an initiative of the German Bundestag together with the Minister of State for Culture, supported by SAP! Everyone turning 18 in 2024 gets a 100€ budget to dive into cultural experiences for free. All through an app powered by SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP), with options ranging from movies and theaters to concerts and museums. The architecture behind is flexible enough for us to adapt it quickly and add new functions as the program expands. And the best part? There are options in every corner of Germany. In Dresden alone, there are over 19,000 experiences by 182 providers waiting!   Glad to spread / support such an initiative, that makes culture so accessible for young people. And if you work with youth, it’s a great chance to get involved! For cultural providers, joining the KulturPass is an excellent way to connect with the next generation, making offerings easily discoverable on a digital platform. It’s a win-win: boost visibility, build long-term connections, and showcase a modern, forward-thinking image in the industry.   This all reinforces something we know well: culture isn’t just for weekends, it’s essential to what brings us together and keeps us inspired.
