📣 #ESDALAB participates in the Global Summit on Renewable and Sustainable Energy (#GSERSE2024), organized, on 📆 November 28 – 29, in 📍Porto (Portugal) by the United Research Forum . 🗣 The Deputy Head of the Lab, associate professor Christos Antonopoulos has been invited as a keynote speaker to the conference which deals with 📌 Innovative Breakthroughs in Renewable Energy from Concept to Implementation. 💡 In his speech entitled 📌 “Trends in Digital Twin Framework Architectures for Smart Cities: A Case Study in Smart Mobility”, Dr. Christos Antonopoulos will present concepts and outcomes from the project MetaCities Excellence Hub in South-Eastern Europe, as well as some challenges that are related to the use of digital twins, metaverse technology, AI and big data. Emphasis will be put on smart and safe mobility use cases in Patras (Greece) and especially: ✅ Smart parking ✅ Emergency management ✅ Environmental behavior analysis on traffic incidents
