Wear and corrosion are the main factors causing the failure of metal materials, in order to improve the surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metal workpiece, to meet the requirements of working conditions to extend the service life of the workpiece, can be surfacing one or several layers of wear or corrosion resistance layer on the surface of the workpiece. That is, the matrix of the workpiece and the surfacing layer of the workpiece are selected to produce a bimetal workpiece with different properties.Because only the surface layer of the workpiece has special properties such as wear resistance and corrosion resistance that meet the requirements, the role and working potential of the material are fully played, and a lot of precious metals are saved. https://lnkd.in/dp_55xhb get more details Contact noya@lyzhili.com or WhatsApp: 008618487190919 today to learn more about how we can help you crush it! #welding #zhilinewmaterial #MiningEquipment #CrusherAccessories #IndustrySolutions #HighQualityMaterials #mining #cement #powerplant #buidingmaterial #energy #railway #highway #waterconservancy #melting #chemicalindustry #recycling

Steel & Metals trivia for the day; "Run-of-the-Mill" meaning. The term "run of the mill" originated as a noun referring to the products of a mill before they were sorted or graded for quality. This usage dates back to at least the 1870s. The term "run" in this context refers to the quantity of work produced in a continuous operation. Over time, it evolved into the adjective form we commonly use today to describe something as average or ordinary. A similar phrase, "run of the mine," also existed, primarily referring to ungraded or unprocessed materials from a mine. However, "run of the mill" became more prevalent in everyday language, possibly due to the fact that manufacturing mills were often located closer to populated areas than mines, making the language associated with mills more familiar to people. The transition from a noun to an adjective likely occurred as people began to use the term more colloquially to describe everyday items or situations that were unremarkable or typical. Thus, "run of the mill" became firmly entrenched in the English language with its current meaning. Since diamonds are the hardest known natural material, they are perfect for use in instruments that need to be extremely precise, durable, and hard. Numerous industries, including manufacturing, gem cutting, mining, and construction, frequently use diamond equipment. The cost of producing diamond tools is increased by the value and cost of diamonds, both natural and synthetic. Because of this, some clients may be put off by the initial outlay needed to purchase diamond tools, especially small firms or those with tight budgets. Because diamond tools are more expensive, some users may choose less expensive alternatives, particularly for applications that don't need the extraordinary endurance and hardness of diamond tools. Metal casting is fundamental to major industries in Australia. You don't buy metal castings in a supermarket, but you do need them to build roads and buildings, to irrigate, to mine and process our mineral deposits, to manufacture wind turbines and solar panels, to sow and harvest crops, for all forms of transport, to sterilise medical instruments and to support our Defence industry. Lead by Annie Keeler - third generation in her family's Sydney foundry - at Hycast Metals it is clearly evident that it’s the people that makes this family business tick. Employing 35 people Hycast has expanded their workforce by over 10% in the last 12 months, with a third of staff women. Amazingly the average staff tenure is over 20 years. This includes team members who are second and third generation fettlers and furnacemen. However, Hycast is one of the shining lights in an industry that has seen a number of businesses exit over the past year. Energy costs, succession planning & skills all having an impact. The Australian metal casting industry is - and will continue to be - the epitome of a ‘thin market’ in training organisation terms. There are two trades that are specifically related to the metal casting industry - Moulders and Patternmakers. With an ageing workforce and challenges in attracting young people into the industry the casting industry is very much facing a ‘work skills cliff’. When we talk about manufacturing in our country, we need to be focused on not just the big industries, but smaller industries such as this one. And government needs to be on the ground-floor working alongside industry to focus on issues such as access to training. It is so important for us to capture the critical skills which have been nurtured and developed over decades and transfer these to the next generation to support the future of manufacturing in Australia. #iron #metalcasting #nswskills

Trenchers play a crucial role in excavation by efficiently creating clean trenches that reduce the risk of walls collapsing. Their unique ability to shovel and side cast materials speeds up projects significantly compared to traditional methods. In rocky terrains, having the right pick sets is essential. These picks need to be resilient with sharper and deeper carbide inserts to optimize hammering force. Additionally, the machine's power output is vital. Ensuring that the machine can maximize its power as rated is key, as some machines may not reach their full potential during actual production. #Machinery #Excavation #Efficiency #Trenching #Machinery #EAfrica
