Trick of Systems Thinking: Find the Multipliers Some changes punch way above their weight. These are your multipliers – small shifts that create outsized impacts. A minor tweak in your approval process might dramatically boost innovation. A slight change in how you run meetings could transform cross-team collaboration. The trick is spotting these leverage points where minimal effort yields maximum results. Instead of pushing harder on every front, focus your energy where it multiplies. Small moves, big changes – that's the power of finding your multipliers.

So true! Even if you don't use Atlassian, having something like a page or even a whiteboard to make notes and document the discussion has always improved the meeting. I've seen it change the dynamic of the meeting when we decide to do it, mid-meeting. The discussion goes from blah-blah-blah to everyone focusing on the board or page, and collaboratively interacting with it primarily. (Though, I do love Confluence for this kind of work, since it not only provides a page for everyone to look at, it provides an easy way to document the meeting results right then and there, and then to find those results later, when you need to refresh your memory or link to something.)
Avoid bad meetings with Page-led meetings, a new approach that maximizes meeting outcomes and drives progress. Plus, Atlassian’s own Teamwork Lab tested the effectiveness of these pages and found they are 23% 🔥 more effective than regular meetings in accomplishing their goal. Friday evening reflection idea: agility is about collaboration. Yet, in the vast majority of the companies I visit, people are using agile to coordinate but not to collaborate. Agile to coordinate might give you some minor efficiency improvements to your booooring blaming meeting - ehm, I meant status meetings! :-) Agile to collaborate, grow knowledge and explore innovative products is what can really bring value. Which one do you choose?
