Sustainability – isn’t that something we hear, talk and act about every day? Yet, it is hugely different how much or little we have done depending on the industry. At Metroprint, we are looking for solutions to balance between meeting the needs of our clients and making environmentally responsible choices. Recognizing the challenges our clients face in selecting suitable alternatives for PVC outdoor banners, we acknowledge the indispensability of this material for specific applications, such as vibrant colour representation, resilience to weather and temperature extremes. Notably, only around 2% of the total square meters ordered by our clients and printed at Metroprint in 2023 were on environmentally friendly materials. As we continue to promote greener materials to be used by our clients, we’ve undertaken initiative to change things that are under our control. 👉 We reuse waste as much as possible – PVC roll material waste as well as discarded cardboard coils are used in our packing department. 👉 We repurpose textile waste into eco-friendly shopping bags, collaborating with a partner for that. 👉 We channel board material scraps through Materjalivoog for application in various industrial processes. 👉 Our packaging boxes are either reuse ones or corrugated cardboard sourced from re-cycled waste. 👉 We have invested in low power consumption lightning in our production. 👉 We optimize equipment use and monitor energy consumption. 👉 We sort and dispose non-recyclable waste responsibly . ☝ Our goal set for 2024 is a complete transition to environmentally friendly packaging accessories. And we keep on working with our clients to find more and better sustainable solutions. When products contain multiple materials, recycling becomes complex. But what if an item was made of just one material? ♻️ FREITAG, the Swiss bag maker, explored this concept and documented their journey in this fascinating short film. Let's dive into this case study on the intricacies of recycling and circular design! 🎒 Introducing FREITAG's Mono[PA6] Backpack: - 100% single material (polyamide 6/nylon) - 3 years in development - Water-repellent without additional coatings (a major mono-material design breakthrough!) - 2-in-1 design: backpack with detachable crossbody bag This backpack isn't just about sustainability—it's about rethinking product lifecycles. FREITAG is closing the loop by offering take-back services and ensuring the material can be fully recycled into new products.

Dear Friends, green regulations will boos the economy. I am pleased to announce that I was invited to give my first-ever keynote on circularity. I will be happy to present to you my own philosophy on circularity, why it matters, and show that Inuru is the only notable contender in this field. Some of you might ask, how do Inuru and circularity go hand in hand? It's simple—this is the reason I dedicate myself to this work every day. When we founded Inuru, the term 'circularity' wasn’t commonly used. Our approach was to replace single-use surfaces with multi-use surfaces. This way, we could reduce printing and make packaging reusable after washing. This is essential for us as humanity because achieving balance with nature is the only way to move forward, and it’s the only way we can grow the economy. This movement is driven not just by a love for nature but also by a necessary revolution in our economic systems—both of which are crucial to advancing sustainability. Please come, listen, discuss and join us on our journey to not only reduce waste. How do we “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle?” That’s a good question! Let us explain our process in making the world a safer, more sustainable place. ♻️ Remill is a technology and service designed to keep good material in use and flowing. Some people use it as an example of circular economy design in action. Material is recovered and remanufactured into new products. By creating new products from old ones, the loop is closed and waste is designed out. We craft the most eco-friendly clothing there is. While there’s always room to improve, we are doing everything we can to support the planet. 🍃 Teemill Tech Ltd uses renewable energy from the sun and wind power production! 👕 By using a print on demand model, we are only producing what’s needed when it’s needed. 🖋️ Inks are mixed in real time so there’s no waste. And we don’t just stop there. Worn out products are sent back to Teemill then organic material is processed and respun into new organic yarn and “Remilled” into brand new products for a circular economy! What’s better than that?! 💚 Visit our website today to learn more about our process! https://lnkd.in/eWiytugP #LoveMyPlanet #EcoFriendlyLife #SustainableLiving #PlanetLove #GreenLife #EcoConscious #SustainableFashion #EcoFriendlyProducts #EarthFriendly #ConsciousConsumption #ReduceReuseRecycle #GreenLiving #EnvironmentalResponsibility #SustainableStyle #SaveOurPlanet #EthicalFashion #CleanLiving #LoveEarth #SustainableChoices #GreenBusiness

In today’s rapidly evolving world, sustainability is more than just a buzzword, it’s a necessity. The lighting industry, particularly in the realm of LED lights, is making significant strides toward adopting sustainable packaging solutions. By using recyclable and biodegradable materials, companies can significantly reduce waste ending up in landfills and conserve precious resources. Eco-friendly packaging also minimizes carbon footprints through reduced energy consumption and lower emissions during manufacturing and transportation. As consumer eco-consciousness grows, there’s an increasing preference for brands that prioritize sustainability, driving loyalty and trust. Innovations like recycled paper and cardboard, soy-based inks, and minimalist designs not only benefit the environment but also meet the values of today’s discerning consumers. Adopting these practices is a win-win for both the planet and the marketplace, paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future. #Sustainability #LEDLighting #EcoFriendly #GreenPackaging #Innovation #EnvironmentalImpact
