We are delighted to be running our first ever Golf Classic this year, in association with the Spirit of Paul Mc Girr Charity! This Friday 27th September will see many well known businesses and faces come together at the fantastic Lough Erne Golf Resort to enjoy a golfing team event, which will raise vital funds for a great cause. We wish to say a huge thank you to all of the local and regional businesses that are getting behind this fundraiser, making this day possible. Main sponsors logos, fourball participants and tee box sponsor names will be dotted throughout the course on the day - We look forward to displaying these for all to see! There will be excellent goodie bags on the day along with refreshments throughout also. Please Note: The graphic attached here details the important information for all attending. Both MFC & SOPMG Charity look forward to welcoming everyone there, with some excellent prizes up-for-grabs on day! See you all there, Folks! Seán O’Neill Fabian O'Neill

TIME is running out for teams to enter BW3's charity truck pull 🚛 💪 Businesses, schools and other organisations are being urged to take part in the challenge, which sees teams of six pull an 18 tonne truck 20 yards and in the fastest time possible. They will compete against each other to take the overall champion crown, while a series of sub-competitions will also be staged. The event takes place on June 20 from 6pm, at Cardinal Global Logistics, Leestone Rd, Sharston, Wythenshawe, M22 4RB. Participants and supporters will also be able to buy wood fired pizzas made by local company Wiggles Pizzafest and refreshments, in exchange for donations to BW3. BW3 (Business Working with Wythenshawe) brings together businesses who want to support programmes to raise aspirations in young people in Wythenshawe. They range from mentoring and work experience schemes to other curriculum-based programmes to inspire youngsters about future career paths. Already signed up are teams from Manchester Airport, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, EDAM Group and Newall Green Primary School, with others expected to register in the days to come. BW3 chair Adam Jupp said: "Last year's event proved to be a great team-building exercise for those who took part, as well as raising much-needed funds to help our programmes get bigger and better. "If you fancy taking on the teams already signed up and competing for the crown of Wythenshawe's top truck pullers, then don't waste any time in registering." To take part, teams of six are required, with a minimum sponsorship of £100 per person. It’s almost game time. After a year of planning, it’s no easy task to organize a charity #pickleball tournament. Having it as a second year and a second iteration, there has been an explosion of both indoor commercial venues and tournaments. This true in #Chicagoland, #Naperville and #DuPage county. I’ve learned a lot, I’ll definitely share those key learnings in another post. Like a solo entrepreneur, be ready to be and do: 1) Ideate tournament format 2) Financially analyze major costs vs revenue, what’s the economically viable price price point of the commodity am selling, with a charitable contribution 3) Market market market! How do I make my event viral? 4) Corporate sponsorship solicitations. This is the part I most hate. How do I influence others to see my generosity vision? Short of panhandling in the middle of a street intersection, how do I influence others to sponsor my event, while providing ad opportunities? 5) Engage and solicit volunteers to help with scoring and run the tournament 6) More importantly, communicate with the main 501.c3 beneficiary what I’m trying to achieve. I know tomorrow’s charity pickleball tournament and resulting monies raised is a drop in the bucket, in relation to the $1.17M needed to complete the Interim Housing Center kitchen project in Downers Grove, DuPage Pads. I can rest easy that we’ve done something good and be part of the #homelessness solution.

One of the most important pieces of advice we like to give to our tournament organizers is to... start your planning early!⏳ Not only does starting early alleviate the pressure of pinning down a location, getting sponsors and finishing everything on your to-do list – it also gives you the opportunity to reap the benefits of an 🐤early bird🐤 discount promotion. Here are five reasons why doing an early bird special can help you attract more golfers, raise more funds, and ultimately make a bigger impact for your charity: 1. It allows you to get ahead on the fully-stocked corporate budgets 2. It gives you ample time for upsells (items from your online store, contests, giveaways, food and drink tickets, etc.) 3. A discount creates a buzz that boosts awareness and engagement 4. It creates a sense of urgency for registration 5. It may help you make better quantity predictions Read the blog to learn more and access our early bird offer resources: https://loom.ly/eKwrX9g #EarlyBird #Fundraiser #Fundraising #GolfTournament #TournamentTip #CharityEvent #EventMarketing #GolfTournaments

Fundraising has been tough for the past 4 years with no sign of it easing Fundraising through challenge events are popular with your supporters especially firewalking events but since the pandemic I’ve noticed a decline in quality and safety Big promises are made by some firewalk providers that their firewalk will be a spectacular, transformative experience. You post what they promise, an amazing event with images of flames and happy people but the reality was as exciting as a damp squib (think New Year's fireworks display in London versus a £100 box of fireworks in your back garden) Chaotic, cluttered, disorganised, disappointing, dull They rock up with some red and white tape to attach to whatever structures are in place, that’s if they’ve even thought about barriers, wood in the boot of their car (not kidding), a some hi-viz vests (why? They're not on a construction site) Pre-firewalk ‘training’ consists of talking about how amazing they think they are, their journey, singing a song, putting your hand on your heart and thinking of rainbows and unicorns The firewalk was more like a fire step…one step, two steps and off All a bit ‘meh’ and in some cases, painful You work hard with these events; your supporters work hard raising much needed funds Fundraising firewalking is a special skill that your supporters deserve Demand better next up: How to see through the shiny blurb to know just how experienced they are at providing firewalks karen@blazefirewalking.com 07712048042 #firewalking #fundraising #charity #events #FirewalkingInstructor #CorporateSupport
