#Mahakumbh: Exploring the Essence of Asceticism
In few hours from now the world's biggest event is going to be kicked off at #Prayagraj which is an extraordinary example of #projectplanning and #projectmanagement. Mahakumbh has a spiritual and philosophical significance. It is the largest congregation of #humanity where millions of pilgrims participate in ascetics gathering at the Triveni Sangam (confluence of the holy Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers).
The #NagaSadhus, with their ash-smeared bodies and minimal possessions, epitomize complete renunciation of materialism. They inspire devotees to reflect on life’s higher #purpose beyond worldly attachments.
This year whooping 400 million pilgrims are expected to witness and participate in the Royal bath (Amrit Snan). It's an intersection of the spiritual and cultural realms driving inner growth and unity with the divine.
The global attention and attraction of #Mahakumbh2025 is very special as it will witness a rare celestial event after 144 years, during which four celestial bodies, the Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Saturn will align with each other. Further, it promotes global harmony and such celebrations highlight the importance of coexistence, compassion, and understanding across cultures.
On behalf of #ProjectManagement community in #India and as a #PMI volunteer and member, I encourage Project Management Institute to initiate a global research on this interesting topic and maximize the #project success to elevate our world. In the last Mahakumbh, PMI had published the cover story titled "Perfect Mix of Planning, Teamwork, and Commitment".
