Day 4 of the 12 Days of Giving Campaign and we wanted to focus on Micah Projects today. Micah run many programs but the one I want to specifically mention is the Phoenix Program - a 6-month pilot program funded by Department of Youth Justice and aimed at early intervention and community safety. Phoenix works with young women who've experienced DFV to increase their safety, connection and wellness. The program is founded in three pillars: identity, embodiment and connection – And AoE has just begun a conversation with the fabulous Phoenix facilitators on how drama and theatre might support these outcomes - offering embodiment, but also some distance and capacity for consideration.
