AVIATION HUMPDAY HAS ARRIVED! The inaugural of what will be the industry's most incisive and iconoclastic podcast is now on line and ready! Bill and Mike are tag-teaming the key issues with perspectives not found elsewhere. This week, we're kicking it off by tacking the issues facing Southwest. Here's a tidbit: ULCCs have more airliners than the ULCC model can support. So now what? Disruption is already starting. Another: the data clearly shows that small community air service will continue to contract - no way out. Regional air service? Airports need to pursue other economic avenues, or simply "rust away" financially. Click here and join us.https://https://lnkd.in/gRgQTD4D. We are starting at Rumble but our Youtube channel will be up shortly, too!

Data will set you free. Or at least give you something to make you sleep less! Take a look at this chart from the nice folks at #AirInsight. You can see the load factor is maxing out. Average LF is now at least 10 points higher than after 9/11. What does this tell us? IT says we have airlines hogging slots in airports and restricting travel. Sooner or later we have to accept that #Airways and #Airports are public utilities that if there is inefficient use of those assets - that is anti-competitive. #Justsaying.
