🧡 Honoring National Day of Truth and Reconciliation 🧡 Today, I take a moment to reflect on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. It’s a day to honor the resilience of Indigenous communities and remember the painful history of residential schools. As we acknowledge the injustices faced by so many, I feel a deep responsibility to listen, learn, and support the journey toward healing. Each of us can play a part in fostering understanding and respect in our communities. Let’s not just remember today but commit to ongoing action. Together, we can help build a future rooted in truth and reconciliation. #TruthAndReconciliation #IndigenousVoices #Canada

Historically, the Catholic Church has affirmed different forms of government, including monarchy, oligarchy, and democracy. The key issue for the Church is not the form of government but, rather, whether the government is working for the common good. What form of government does the Church currently endorse? The Church now gives a preference for democracy because it permits society to collaborate more actively towards the common good.
