Putting Trump in blue is diabolical.
I’ve personally experienced this to be about accurate, but also am also quite surprised at how misinformed Europeans are about where the Repub/Dem parties actually stand on issues. Odd to me when Europeans (generally speaking) do have quite an impressive grasp of history and politics elsewhere. Media here IMO purposely shape perceptions of American parties and that bias is not serving the people well. Of course we are all biased but media needs to resist the temptation to shape opinion. 100% completely just my opinion.

2wWell, that kind of tells you everything you need to know. Remember that most of the nations in Europe have to follow the Digital Services Act passed in 2023 which makes it criminal to spread disinformation. So the populace is less persuadable like we are to propaganda. The online platforms have to make transparent combating that disinformation. It’s a shame of our 1st Amendment has been weaponized against us. I used to be a free speech absolutist (being in tech the last 30 years.) Only to now realize we are experiencing the Gilded Age 2.0. Where the robber barons and train magnates have been replaced with the Zuckerberg, Bezos, Musk conglomerate that controls media distribution. I would say that our population is stupid and gullible. But they are not. Any populace subjected to a bifurcated media onslaught driven by money would end up the same. And if you don’t think that remember this… In North Korea they believe their leader talks to dolphins and doesn’t poop. Otherwise bright intelligent rational people are rendered helpless when fed a specific media diet.
