Why is healthcare marketing so afraid to leverage negative emotions? I had a lively debate with Jerry Hobbs around this question. Patients (the entire population) have felt a ‘broken’ healthcare system at some point in their experience with it. If we have the joint recognition of a universal frustration why can’t we use that negativity to create positivity? Social algorithms can clearly be seen leveraging the power of negative emotions. How do we use that knowledge to create a shared negative perception into something that bonds us towards solving it? #advertising #marketing #healthcare
