At SixPivot one of our deepest held values is all about giving back to our community in the form of knowledge sharing. We've done Lunch and Learns for our customers for many years. We've finally curated these into a format that now anyone can book for their teams. If you have technical folk who want to learn from other technical folk who are hands on practitioners, grab your team together, select your favorite topic or speaker 👇 and let's do a virtual lunch and learn (you eat, we talk 😉). If there is a topic or one of our team members not on the list who you'd like to hear from comment below. #aws #azure #cloud #cloudmanagement #finops #culture #learning #inclusion #auth0 #blazor

I love being a speaker at conferences and have been lucky to deliver 72 talks in 20 countries. While I do receive invitations, I also actively participate in Call for Papers, a process where speakers submit proposals for their talks. These are my stats for 2024 so far. Invited: 2 Retracted: 4 Declined: 2 Spoken: 6 Upcoming: 3 Waiting on CfP: 4 Rejected: 22 Being rejected is always hard, but it is part of the game. This doesn't have to mean your talk proposal is terrible, but many other factors also come into play. Think of travel expenses, way more submissions than slots, not completely fitting the conference theme, and competition from other speakers. Just try again next time.
