𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨... According to a recent study, one in three people have already experienced discrimination in the workplace. Living diversity in companies and in the working environment still does not seem to be a matter of course in 2024. What does diversity mean? It is about respect and equality regardless of age, gender, origin, religion, ideology or orientation. For us, this is a non-negotiable basis for respectful and successful teamwork and the reason why we signed the "Charta der Vielfalt". At the All for One Group SE, diversity is a natural part of our value system and an integral part of our daily work. I am grateful to work for a company where trust, appreciation and diversity are actively practiced and promoted. Not only through us as a company, but also through many initiatives initiated and passionately supported by colleagues. It is our responsibility to overcome prejudices and barriers and create a working environment where people feel safe and respected so that we hopefully no longer need awareness days in the future. #DDT24 #ChartaderVielfalt #StimmefürVielfalt #DrivingDiversity #WeAreOne

𝗪𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 📖 Just one year after I implemented the new 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 at the EOS Group I was able to continue with other topics regarding that amazing topic. The desire for a diversity policy has come up in discussions from time to time. And to be honest, I prefer to work on concepts rather than on the content of grandiose compliance texts 😂 Nevertheless, I quickly realised how powerful the policy could be for the EOS Group. Because it is less prescriptive than you might think. It anchors the internal commitment of many employees, such as the members of the diversity networks 𝗪:𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁. 👓 It is also a great guide, showing management and HR managers in particular what formats already exist and giving them a helping hand. No wonder the policy has already received excellent feedback in its first few days. 🎉 #organizationaldevelopment #diversityday #diversity #pdondemand #hr #theHRguyfromlinkedin
✨ 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 ✨ Diversity isn't about being "woke"; it's about recognizing and valuing the unique talents everyone brings to the table. Imagine having 10 brilliant talents in a group of 100 people. If we don't consider everyone, we risk missing out on incredible potential. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲. 🌟📄 This month - and just in time for today's Diversity Day 2024 - marks a significant milestone in our corporate culture: the publication of our 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 here at EOS Group. This isn't just a document; it's a testament to our commitment to fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive. 🤝 I am incredibly proud to work for a family-owned company where diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords. We actively implement these values in our daily operations, striving each day that they are part of the DNA of our culture. 💪 Embracing diversity is an ethical imperative, but also a key driver of #innovation, #creativity, and business #success. Our new policy is the result of extensive work and reflection on how we, as an international organization, can create an environment that respects, values and promotes every individual. Thanks to Lukas von Lindern and team for implementing this policy supported by our Diversity & Inclusion Board! #Diversity #Inclusion #CorporateCulture #DDT24 ____ About #DDT24: The Diversity Day is an annual event aimed at raising awareness about the importance and value of diversity in society and at work. Looking forward to all of the #Regatta24 conversations about just the topic covered here in TalentCulture by David Gevorkian: "Rather than treating inclusion as an afterthought, the best employers consider it a central pillar in workplace culture transformation. You can emphasize accessibility and diversity as core values right from the start, with inclusive hiring policies that show people with disabilities they matter to your organization. Inclusive hiring practices are an opportunity to expand your talent pool by reaching out to countless candidates who offer viable skills, knowledge, and human strengths. By proactively including people with disabilities, you enrich your teams with more diverse perspectives and experiences. This, in turn, elevates creativity, productivity, and performance." #diversity #inclusion #talent #hiring

Has Diversity and Inclusion been overdone in the Financial Services Sector today? Diversity and inclusion initiatives have been a very hot topic in the last few years and play a crucial role in reshaping workplace dynamics, fostering equality, and enhancing representation across various sectors, including the financial services industry. While these initiatives have undoubtedly brought positive changes, it's important to acknowledge that individuals may interpret and experience them differently. In the financial services realm, historically marked by a lack of diversity in leadership roles, the introduction of diversity and inclusion programs aims to rectify systemic inequalities and cultivate a more inclusive environment for all professionals. However, it's essential to recognize that certain individuals, particularly those who don't fit the minority diversity profile in terms of skin color, gender, or sexual orientation, may feel undervalued or disregarded within these initiatives. Concerns may arise regarding perceived biases in focus or opportunities that could impact their career progression or sense of belonging within the organization. This sentiment is echoed by numerous clients and candidates, with statements like, "As a straight male without diverse characteristics, I fear being overlooked for promotion due to not meeting the diversity criteria. When competing internally, I feel disadvantaged." While the progress made through diversity and inclusion efforts in the financial sector is commendable, it's crucial to acknowledge and address the diverse perspectives and experiences of all individuals. Inclusivity should not breed demotivation. Ultimately, a positive work culture should reward merit and value contribution based on qualifications, skill, and aptitude, rather than solely on race, gender, or sexual orientation. It's imperative for management teams to navigate this discussion sensitively to build a cohesive work environment that doesn't leave a majority of employees feeling disheartened. Embracing diversity and fostering inclusion should be about creating a fair and supportive workplace where talent and dedication are the primary factors in career advancement. What is everyone's take on this? #DiversityandInclusion #WorkplaceEquality #FinancialServices #InclusiveWorkplace #DiversityMatters #EqualityInFinance #InclusiveLeadership #DiverseWorkforce #FinancialInclusion #WorkCulture #EqualityAtWork #CareerProgression #GenderEquality #InclusionInitiatives #ProfessionalDevelopment #DiversityInFinance #LeadershipDiversity #Empowerment #CareerOpportunities #EquityandInclusion

Disabled professionals often find themselves overlooked because of their specific accessibility needs, which leads businesses to exclude a significant segment of the workforce from their talent pool. By being open to accommodations, companies can greatly enhance their access to a wider range of talent, knowledge, and skills. This not only enriches the organization but also boosts overall performance by fostering a more diverse team. Incorporating inclusive business practices isn't just a moral obligation; it’s a strategic advantage. When organizations restrict how they operate, they ultimately hinder their own success Embracing accessibility and inclusion is simply good business sense. 👉🏼https://lnkd.in/gupgdDyW #InclusionMatters #AccessibleWorkplace #DiversityInBusiness #EqualOpportunities #EmpowerAll

This is not another jumping on the bandwagon #IWD2024 post. This is me wearing my heart on my sleeve and publicly acknowledging the importance of the women in my life and those who have had such an impact on my career and the businesses I’ve been privileged to run. I’m not going to single out individuals, but these are three of the many lessons I’ve learned: 🫶🏼 Diverse teams lead to diverse ideas, fostering innovation and creativity (studies have also shown companies with gender-diverse teams have higher profitability and are more adept at problem solving…) 🫶🏼 Diverse teams are more collaborative – working groups that I’ve been on that are gender balanced tend to get better results 🫶🏼 Diverse teams bring a wider variety of perspectives to decision making – particularly when it comes to risk assessment (creating a more resilient organisation). There’s another reason that IWD is important to me. In my role advocating for Modern Slavery legislation in New Zealand, I’ve seen the brutal statistics – females account for a staggering 99% of all victims of forced sexual exploitation, 84% of all victims of forced marriage, and 58% of all victims of forced labour (Walk Free). As a father (and a human being), I can’t close my eyes and walk past those figures. It’s 2024 – we need to make a commitment to an inclusive work culture and a wider social consciousness that ends gender discrimination – and of course, Modern Slavery. The world can do better. This International Women’s Day make your voice count – encourage, support and #InspireInclusion through deliberate actions. No one should face harassment or discrimination at work. Neurodiversity enriches our workplaces, yet many still face discrimination and stigma because of their neurodivergence. A new report by CIPD and Uptimize calls for action. They surveyed over 1,000 employed adults about their working life, of which 790 identified as neurodivergent. The report examines the importance of neuroinclusive workplaces, looking at what employers are doing, as well as the working experiences of neurodivergent and neurotypical employees. 👈 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. “No people, talent or EDI-related ambition or commitment can be achieved without neuroinclusion – the active effort to optimise workplaces and manage people and teams to be inclusive of different brains.” - Ed Thompson, chief executive of Uptimize. Neurodivergent employees bring unique strengths to the table. Supporting them isn't just ethical - it makes good business sense. 📣 How does your organisation foster neuroinclusion? #Neuroinclusion #Neurodiversity #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI #Equality #NeuroinclusionAtWork

Whether it’s a friend, mentor, or even yourself - who do you celebrate this #IWD24? Sending all my admiration today for all the invisible labor that women do across the globe. Domestic labor it's unpaid work that is often taken for granted, a lot of us wouldn't have a professional career without our mothers, grandmothers and other caretaker's sacrifice. Men in positions of power may not have the opportunity to spend so much time in their careers without their wive's or mother to their children taking care of them and house work. Shot out today to: - Women that have a gap in their resume, even though they are doing one of the most difficult jobs, raising children. - Women that balance child care with their professional careers. - Women that have experienced uncomfortable harassment in their workplaces. - Women that have felt silenced during a work meeting. - Women that not only survive but, thrive in male dominated fields. - Women that are natural born leaders and do so with respect and empathy. Let's strive for more equal workplaces, to close the gap in differences in compensation based in gender and opportunities for women's work to be respected and compensated fairly!
