Lando and Oscar’s race to win at the Bahrain GP officially kicked off the 2024 Formula 1 season for McLaren Racing over the weekend. This year’s expansion of DP World’s partnership with McLaren sees us take a new branding position on the MCL38’s dynamic digital panels, and is a testament to the importance of working together.   Navigating the increasingly dynamic logistics landscape relies on collaborative relationships across different sectors. Here’s what I mean by that:   1. Enhanced resilience: Sharing resources, expertise, and best practices that significantly bolster resilience against unforeseen challenges.   2. Enabling new thinking: Cross-sector partnerships foster creativity and breed innovation, driving groundbreaking solutions to complex supply chain problems.    3. Optimised costs: Shared infrastructure, transportation networks, and distribution channels streamline operations and lead to significant cost savings. By increasing purchasing power and market access, we can drive down costs for all partners involved.   4. Expanding market access: By using each other's networks and distribution channels, we promote growth and greater market reach for our customers   5. Addressing sustainability challenges: By aligning on how we produce, optimise, and incentivise sustainable alternatives, we can minimise our shared carbon footprints, foster responsible sourcing practices, and create a positive impact on society.   Congratulations to Lando and Oscar on a great first race of the season and to McLaren for a strong overall performance in Bahrain. I’m excited to see what the next few circuits have in store for the team and look forward to what is promising to be a great year. 

The Formula 1 Automotive sector, partners related to the automotive industry, is dominated by Ferrari 2024. Mahle, Brembo, NGK and Öhlins are some of the Scuderia Ferrari Automotive partners. This demonstrates the strong and robust link between Scuderia Ferrari and Ferrari N.V. What's particularly noteworthy is that McLaren Racing, which has a strong presence in major partnership sectors like consumer and tech, has no partners in the automotive sector. Although the McLaren Group can as a shareholder be considered a partner of McLaren Racing in the automotive sector, but McLaren Group is not on the McLaren Racing partnership network.

The Lewis Hamilton move to Scuderia Ferrari will be analyzed from many different angels. Mercedes-AMG Petronas and Scuderia Ferrari represent two giants in Formula 1, but is there any differences between the two when we compare the partnership networks?   Of course, Scuderia Ferrari is the number one Italian team 🇮🇹 on the Formula 1 grid, also when we look at the number of Italian partners.   Both have almost the same number of partners from the USA.   What about Germany 🇩🇪 and Mercedes?   Mercedes had five (5) German partners 2023. A number that in my opinion could be higher.   Scuderia Ferrari is the more consumer-oriented team (hotels, airlines etc.. included). Mercedes-Benz Group is a huge company compared to Ferrari N.V.   Mercedes sold 2,491,600 vehicles 2023. Ferrari sold 13,663 vehicles 2023 When Market Cap is compared the difference is small. Did you know Ferrari was initially a racing company, not a car company? Undoubtedly, Ferrari is one of the most powerful brands in the world. Its net worth is $74.99 Billion. But the company had somewhat different beginnings. In the early 90s, its founder, Enzo Ferrari, was a race car driver. In fact, Ferrari was founded as a racing team with the sale of road cars as a means to fund the racing operation. But in 1938, World War II broke out, and Alfa Romeo(his city) was shut down. With no means to conduct racing shows, Ferrari made a life-changing decision. He decided to make cars for himself. Was he successful? Yes, and how! So much so that today, Ferrari makes more than 13,000 cars every year. The company had to boost its production because of the high demand for luxury sports cars. It's amazing to see how even the world's biggest companies had such humble beginnings. I mean, who would have thought  Ferrari would make the world's most influential car brand? So if you're second thinking about your future, please don't. Give it your all. And the results will come. It's just a matter of time. Just put your head down and put in the work. You never know you'll make the next Ferrari in your industry!
