Dog Anxiety Awareness Week As we step into Dog Anxiety Awareness Week, it's time to turn a compassionate eye towards our canine companions who may be silently struggling. 🐶💕 Anxiety in dogs is as real as it is in humans—manifesting from mild unease to severe panic. It's a natural emotional response, but when left unchecked, it can disrupt the harmony of their lives and ours. This special week is dedicated to shedding light on the signs, causes, and management of anxiety in our canine friends. From the thunderstorm that sends them hiding under the bed to the departure cues that signal your absence, their world is filled with stressors that we may not always understand. But as guardians of these sensitive souls, it's our responsibility to read the signs: 🐾 Pacing 🐾 Whining 🐾 Shaking 🐾 Excessive barking 🐾 Destructive behavior These are just a few indications that your dog might be more than just a little stressed. But there's hope! Through education, patience, and professional guidance, we can learn to ease their fears. From creating a calming environment, introducing enriched environments, practicing Tellington TTouch, and consulting a Veterinary Behaviorist, there are many paths to peace. If your dog struggles with anxiety, remember, you're not alone. For support and resources on how to navigate this challenging emotional terrain, reach out to us at info@JoyfulDogLLC.com. For comprehensive resources and guidance, consider exploring the AMERICAN VETERINARY SOCIETY OF ANIMAL BEHAVIOR at AVSAB.org and the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB) at dacvb.org. For additional insights, Debbie Jacobs at Fearfuldogs.com provides an excellent website full of helpful tips and strategies. #DogAnxietyAwarenessWeek #CompassionateCare #MindfulGuardianship #DogWellness #JoyfulDog #VirginiaDogTrainer #DogTrainer #TimetoTrain

Have you included your furry friends in your Will? Our animals are beloved members of our family. So while we plan for the future of human loved ones why wouldn’t we consider the future of our furry, feathered, or scaled friends? Including your pets in your will ensures that they are cared for and loved, even when you’re no longer able to do so. Here’s how you can make provisions for your pets: • Identify a friend, or family member who is willing and able to take on the responsibility of caring for your pet. However, be sure to discuss this with them before naming them in your Will. • Capture detailed care instructions. This can include such things a dietary needs, medical history and exercise routines. Anything you deem important for their ongoing care. • Allocate funds specifically for the care of your pet. This would be to cover expenses such as food, veterinary care etc. By taking these steps, you can rest assured that your pets will continue to receive the love and care they deserve. If you’d like more information on what can be included in your will, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by calling 0808 146 9295 or emailing andrew.davies@daviesestateplanning.co.uk #petcare #willsandtrusts #estateplanning #petprovisions #careforpets #planningforthefuture
