At the end of the six-week course, we ask pupils to imagine they are explaining to another class what the Hummingbird Project is and what to expect from it. This pupil from Medlock Valley Primary School in Oldham has given us a great summary: "The Hummingbird is a 6 week adventure in learning about what makes people feel good. The Ultimate Showdown: Michigan v Michigan State In Michigan, there are two types of people: those who cheer for Michigan, and those who cheer for Michigan State. It's a rivalry as old as time. But, if we're talking about the ultimate transportation showdown... which is better? As a Michigander who's lived in both Ann Arbor and East Lansing, I've had the chance to experience both universities’ transportation systems. Personally, I'm Team Michigan. UM's bus system is all-encompassing, reliable, and regularly maintained. Plus, you can save money by opting to bike to campus thanks to easy-access bike lanes and designated parking racks. In contrast, MSU's bus system is notoriously complicated, with multiple routes and schedules that can make even the most veteran students late for class. And, while the school does offer bike lanes, navigating them can sometimes feel like an Olympic-level sport. But, at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. Are you a Wolverine or a Spartan? Whichever side you choose, just remember to give yourself plenty of time (and patience!) when it comes to transportation. It's all part of the Michigan student experience!
