What a transformation. Unlike “1-day” installers that use a wafer-thin coat of polyurea-polyaspartic as their direct-to-concrete primer, we use a thick, moisture-mitigating epoxy. When we broadcast your chosen flake blend into our thick primer coat, the flakes get deeply embedded. This allows us to mechanically buff before applying our dual polyaspartic topcoats, producing a smooth, durable flooring (There’s no catching your socks on our flooring!). This isn’t the case for wafer-thin 1-day coatings, which can only manually scrape so as not to “uproot” the poorly embedded flakes. #fridayfinishes #garage #flooring #epoxy #homeimprovements #hgtv #epoxygarageflooring #garagefloorepoxy #concretecoating #concrete #homerenovations

Epoxy flooring exposed to sunlight may turn yellow. This is called Yellowing. Appropriate epoxy selection or using polyurethane top coats have to be considered in resin based flooring procedures. The difference between two different top coats are completely obvious in the picture.

Buying a commercially rated laminate flooring product does not guarantee against water damage from small topical spills as seen in this photograph, so do your research. Seemingly similar products can react very differently in this regard. An increase in rating category ie: AC 3 to AC 4, relates to an increase in the products ability to resist surface wear and tear…. the ‘AC’ stands for ‘Abrasion Class’ which is usually determined by a Taber Test (abrasion test). For resistance to topical spills, check the manufacturers product and warranty information before you buy. If there is no information or unclear information, test the product yourself or better still source a product that is clear regarding performance expectations. www.nfca.ca #flooring #commercialflooring #waterdamage
