Meet Curtin Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate Haniff Soorian Pagalavan who is pursuing his dream as an Electrical Engineer at Western Power. ⚡🛠️ Haniff was involved in Curtin University’s Internship Gateway Program, which gives organisations the chance to foster connections with highly motivated science and engineering students. Through the program, your organisation will not only contribute to shaping the development of our industry-ready graduates but will also provide your team with the opportunity to develop their mentoring and leadership skills. For Haniff, undertaking the internship was an invaluable experience that prepared him for the workforce. “I spent about three months as an intern and for the first month, they sent me into the workshop. I got to see how the switchboards were constructed. In that experience, I’d say the most valuable thing was seeing how the drawings translated into the real physical thing. I am excited to announce the recent successful completion of my six-week summer internship at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT, Formerly NSIT) under the mentorship of Dr. Pradeep Khanna, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (EV). During my internship, I worked on a project titled "Mathematical Modelling and Optimization of MIG Welding Process Parameters." This hands on experience allowed me to: - Deepen my understanding of Data Analysis and Modeling: I enhanced my ability to analyze and work with complex data -Improve my Problem-Solving Mindset: Tackling real-world challenges sharpened my logical thinking and coding approach to optimize solutions. - Interdisciplinary Learning: Collaborating with experts from different domains expanded my perspective on how computer science integrates with mechanical systems and real-time optimizations.
