📌 New mention of Abyntek Biopharma at Food and Chemical Toxicology journal, entitled “Protective effects of oral administration of lactic acid bacteria strains against methylmercury-induced intestinal toxicity in a murine model”. The utilization of lactic acid bacteria has been proposed to mitigate the burden of heavy metal exposure through processes probably involving chelation and reduced metal bioaccessibility. Researchers from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) have evaluated the effects of daily intake of two strains of lactobacilli (Lactobacillus intestinalis LE1 or Lactobacillus johnsonii LE2) in the reduction of intestinal toxicity due to exposure to heavy metals. One of the positive effects observed is the reduction of the overproduction of mucus produced by methylmercury. The #polyclonal anti-mucina type 2 (MUC2) #antibody from our brand (Abyntek Research Reagents) has been used for this. 👉 Check out the article: https://lnkd.in/dpxqZRax ⚗ Find out our #bioreagents brand, Abyntek Research Reagents: https://lnkd.in/db2NPwb3 #Antibodies #pAb #Biotech

𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟳𝟴. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝟭𝟬 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗟𝗧? The sample size for MLT is a harmonized compendial requirement where the quantification of sample and media dilution to 1:10. In fact this is one of the draw back of this test ! Even there is no triplicate or duplicate analysis is performed as well. statistically based on the dilution requirements, the minimum sample size is selected for the test. In microbial limit testing (MLT), 10 grams of the sample is commonly used because it provides a standardized, representative quantity for testing while ensuring that the test results are statistically meaningful and reproducible. This weight is sufficient to detect microbial contamination and remains manageable for laboratory procedures. Additionally, regulatory guidelines, such as those from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and European Pharmacopeia (EP), specify the use of 10 grams to maintain consistency in testing across laboratories and products. If larger or smaller quantities were used, the detection limits or sensitivity might be altered, affecting the reliability of the test results. #microbiology #pharma #MLT #10gm #vijaykumarh

Seeking assistance in screening natural products? Look no further! The HPTLC Association’s Substance Database is an invaluable resource for screening various classes of natural products present in plant constituents. Whether identifying compounds or researching plant substances, it offers a comprehensive platform for analytical needs. Iridoids, a group of monoterpenoids such as aucubin, catalpol, agnuside, genipin, valtrate, harpagoside, sweroside and so on are abundant in plants and are recognized for their diverse pharmacological benefits. Given their significant bioactivity and wide-ranging medicinal applications, the High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) association has developed methodologies for approximately 20 iridoid standards using three distinct approaches.
