It enabled me to gain practical experience and new knowledge in bridge engineering, offering insights on how to start my bridge engineering startup and align its goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, after the conference, an exhibition showcased new materials that can be used in bridge construction, offering valuable information on the latest innovations in this area. In addition, the report will also evaluate how this activity has enhanced my understanding of the role of reflective practice in the professional development of a chartered engineer. 📅 SAVE THE DATE! The 12th International Conference on Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composites in Civil Engineering (CICE 2025) takes place in Lisbon, Portugal, on 14-16 July 2025. CICE is the official conference of the International Institute for FRP in Construction. It brings together the composites research community and industry to share relevant achievements and discuss challenges and opportunities in the field. CICE 2025 is a joint initiative organised by the University of Lisbon, the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering, and the University of Minho. This will be the 12th edition of this series of prestigious conferences on composites for civil engineering applications that was initiated in 2001 and has been already taken place on most continents.
