Last week a group of 2nd year Architectural Technology students from TU Dublin (School of Architecture, Building and Environment) were treated to a presentation and site visit with John Paul Construction to see their Harcourt Square Development by Hibernia REG. Thanks so much to Rorie Considine, Eddie Brogan, Rebecca O'Rourke, Gabrielle Karam and Peter Ridge for the very informative presentation on the innovations they are pioneering. For the students it was great to see the opportunities that their BIM skills provide in the new world of large sites from seeing the Revit models be used to demonstrate progress and schedules. Innovations included modular rebar from Midland steel (an example of MMC being used) to the slip form concrete cores.
