Key Benefits of Emotional Awareness for Children 🟢 Improved Academic Performance: Children who are emotionally aware can better manage stress and stay focused, which helps them persevere through academic challenges. 🟢 Better Decision-Making: When children understand their emotions, they can assess their feelings more thoughtfully, leading to responsible and mindful decision-making. 🟢 Conflict Resolution Skills: Emotional awareness equips children to navigate conflicts with empathy and patience, helping them resolve issues peacefully and reducing negative behaviours. 🟢 Increased Empathy: As children grow more aware of their own emotions, they develop a greater capacity for understanding and responding to the emotions of others, fostering deeper compassion and stronger relationships. By nurturing emotional awareness, we’re equipping our children with lifelong skills for success, happiness, and positive connections with others. #EdTech #HealthTech #MentalHealthMatters #TheCareCo

Here’s a chance to engage and think together about supporting our educators! 🌟 If I were consulting at a school and a teacher reported having a panic attack, my first thought wouldn’t be the typical responses like affirmation, sympathy, or suggesting a new job, support group, self-care, or a referral for medication. 🤔 (These were all the things I saw in the comments of a post where a teacher shared her experience of a panic attack at work). So, what would be on my mind? To truly help the teacher, what would I focus on FIRST? Once 20 people guess in the comments below, I’ll reveal the answer. 💡 #CommunityThinking #EducationSupport #MentalHealthMatters Share your thoughts below and let’s rethink how we can provide real support for our educators! #RealSupport👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Caregiver Training Does Not Need to Be In a Physical or Internet Classroom. Disclosure: I am a former K-8 English Language Leader Teacher and District Coordinator Yesterday, I took 2 caregivers with me to provide services to 3 people in Prescott. We work almost simultaneously as the clients were is a , what I call a cluster. The expression on their faces were priceless as we entered “ North Country”. They saw green lush land, trees, animals not seen in Phoenix and lots of natural water sources. I take opportunities like this to gentle train caregivers. Some caregivers need a different approach other than a team meeting through Zoom or in the office setting. We talk, I learn, they learn , we learn about ourselves, each other and our clients (pending for the day and in general). As a small business I can pivot easily while still providing great care to clients as well as busily a stronger workforce. Thinking out of the box is critical for small businesses to be agile with client and staff care. Caregiving is the business of people care; all people within its sphere. My staff had a great day. We multitasked and yet they told me they didn’t feel like they worked today. They said they felt like they were on an adventure of learning and caring. They provided great care as was shared by their clients to our agency. Mission Accomplished! #Angienuity In Kindness, Angie Angie’s Angels Home Health Care.

Teaching is a work of heart. In a classroom: sometimes, it is inevitable to note that there is a certain pupil who is continuously in trouble. May be, this is about SEMH...the unmet Social Emotional Mental Health needs. Children communicate through behaviour in response to these unmet needs. We also know that emotions and relationships impact the ability to learn. Hence, as a teacher, knowing that there are limited to no positive life prospects of pupils with SEMH needs, reach out. Reach out and consciously guide the youngster in emotional regulation. It is true, it is not your area of specialization but teachers, we are the key. We are like the paramedics that work alongside the medics. We work to stabilize the emotional disregulation. To sooth the amygdala. LAST: Listen to understand not to respond/ react. Try mirroring the concerned party's statements. This involves repeating a bit of what they have said. It helps clarify thought in the other person. It builds rapport and people feel understood. Apologize if need be or Acknowledge the feeling or emotion. Name it, give it a label. Something like ' It seems you are upset'. And of course avoid using 'I'. Saying that 'I can see you are upset' would be a trigger because it sounds judgemental. Solve or Send: choose the suitable alternative. Do you need to refer the pupil to the counselor, to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or, can it be solved right there? Thank. It could be the only positive thing the pupil in trouble has received the whole day. And, this technique, LAST, can be applied anywhere where there is tension and people are feeling worked up, unable to control their emotions. Try at home with a spouse, try in the HR office too. #education #learning #SEMH #behaviourmanagement
