It's easier to give up (Constantly reminding yourself of why you started makes a lot of difference) I was reading through the comments of a not so recent post made by Tony Elumelu on Instagram. He urged everyone not to give up. In the comment section, someone said this: "Everyone tells us not to give up, but no one shows us how NOT to give up" Look around you for a moment, even the elements teach us a great lesson. No matter what happened the previous day, it does not stop the dawn of a new day. No matter how many gruesome road accidents happen daily, it does not stop people from driving. No matter how long it rains, it does not stop the sun from shining. And so, this is how to stay motivated. 📌Understand that all good things go through a specific process. 📌It's usually not easy but it's always worth it. 📌You are human, yet your mind is totally infinite, use the power of your mind. 📌Things like staying consistent is usually hardest when results are not forthcoming. Focus on value. 📌Remember that seeds planted do not grow in a day so give yourself time. 📌Know when to rest, even God rested, give your body lots of rest. 📌Lastly, put in the work and leave the blessings to God, he always turns up. Happy new week fam..do have a beautiful week ahead.

🎢 Ride the Business Rollercoaster ~ Embrace the Ups and Downs to Success!!! Reflecting on Ajay Unni's candid thoughts this week, it was a great reminder of my own journey in startups... and beyond! Facing challenges isn't just a part of the process, I believe it's essential to growth. The decision to stop or persevere shapes not only our projects but our character. I was actually commenting about this today in this post https://lnkd.in/gCzCkcdc by Kate Healy. 📱And as Steve Jobs of Apple fame once said, "I'm convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non successful ones is pure perseverance." This insight rings true not only in the tech world but in all areas of entrepreneurship. It's about pushing forward, even when the path seems scary. In my experience, stepping back to assess situations objectively has been instrumental in guiding Tom Finnigan and MurFin Group through our own evolutionary phases. To those wrestling with tough decisions in your ventures, just remember... Reflect, Refocus & Remain Objective... plus take action!! These moments of challenge are not just tests, they're opportunities to forge resilience and redefine paths. Have a productive and thoughtful weekend! #Leadership #StartupLife #Resilience #Reflection #MurFinGroup
Do you know when to stop or keep going... This week was challenging, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We faced some significant challenges in our future roadmap for Stick. Yes, I am not afraid to share this—this is reality; this is how life is. You can stop and walk away, or you can keep going; it's all up to you. But if you keep going, remember to keep reflecting, to look at things objectively and take the emotion out of it. Don't confuse passion with emotion. And sometimes, using your emotions can be helpful too. The only way you can find out is by 'reflecting, refocusing, and being objective' to find the answers, to find a path ahead. And we did, and I am so glad we were thrown into the deep end this week. Wishing you all a great weekend ahead...

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” – Andy Williams 🎵 You are not feeling joy. The task of showing up daily has been intimidating for me, and I am aware that many others face it too. At times, I question its necessity and retract, or feel that my content is not satisfactory, while other times, I emerge and showcase what I have. I have come to realise that your content may not be suitable for everyone, but there are people who will connect with it. Until you begin the journey, you won't understand the value of your hard work and resilience towards achieving perfection. This article is intended to congratulate the courageous individuals who, despite the odds, chose to rise from despondency and share their stories. Also; To encourage those who haven't found the strength to show their best selves. Your content is a reflection of your uniqueness, so brace up and remember that your mistakes or failures from the past are the 'Prefection Escalator' that propels you to the top. Together, we can form a positive force that will transform our world. Keep Moving! Happy New Week!

An exercise and a challenge. .. One thing I've started doing lately is to stop asking "how's your day going?" Most of the time I get the same answer which is "it's good", "chugging along", "living the dream", or other well-intended responses that generally don't facilitate further connection. There's nothing wrong with this, per-say, but I've recently learned something so much better. So, what do I ask instead? I ask "What has been the best part of your day / week?" Yes, it catches people off guard, but do you know what else it does? You can literally see their mind going through and cataloging all the positive moments in their day until they find the answer. Plus, they usually smile in the process. In return I get to ask more questions about their day, why that was so special, and continue to help them feel better while learning about them even more. So, try it once this week and see how it goes. It may be the best part of your week.

Your Attention Is Priceless Why Giving It Away Freely Is the Costly Happy New Year! The clock has started, it’s 2025. Just like that. This is the year __________ (fill in the blank). That’s what we are all thinking about. There is nothing wrong with reflection and having a visualization meeting with yourself. Next, you must decide how to spend your time and attention. To achieve what you filled in the blank, your time and attention spread will be the X factor. That decision is totally up to you. But if you don’t, it will cost you your fill-in-the-blank. Here are all the things that will happen: 1. You will be excited. 2. Life will life, good and bad. 3. You will feel under the weather. 4. You will get a burst of energy. 5. You will get stuck in the airport (like me in this picture) 6. You will have fun. 7. You will cry. 8. You will laugh. 9. You will sing. 10. You will take a shower. This is just a list of things that happen in life. Sometimes, you need to remind yourself that, good or bad, I am breathing; keep going. Protect your time and attention in 2025 so you can fill in the blank. Praying for everyone reading this message to have their best year ever! ❤️ P.S. Which airport do you think this is in my picture?

𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀! For a few weeks now, I hesitated. I kept waiting for the special moment that has refused to arrive. Probably I need more experience, more practice, or a clearer understanding of how everything works. Or maybe I should wait until the new year? Once the new year kicks in, 𝑽𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒂! I'll quickly start. I told myself. But the truth is; The perfect time will never come. I realized that if I kept waiting for the ideal moment, I would never start. So today, I made a choice to not let my fears and doubts hold me back. I decided to finally hit "post". To embrace my fears, and to share my journey with you, 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. And so if you’re someone like me facing the same struggle, know this; 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 - 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬! The only way to grow is to take that first step, even if it’s imperfect. we'll figure it out as we go. But if you keep waiting for the perfect moment, your whole life will pass you by. While every other person is getting fat on chicken and beer for the rest of the year. You have the opportunity to start 𝐍𝐨𝐰 and set the pace for a better 2025! We’ve got this. 🍀 Repost if you found this helpful. 𝐏𝐒 - Have you been in a situation where you were held back by your own fears and doubts? How did you navigate them, I'll love to hear. 𝐏𝐒𝐒 - Any significant event from the Christmas celebration yesterday? share in the comments!

I survived the weekend sha🥺 Last week was one of the weeks I battled alot of things. It even affected my posting on LinkedIn because I had to post just twice. And the weekend was even worse, I had so much to cover and it seemed like 24hours was no longer enough. But here's one trick that helped me stay productive in the midst of the many tasks. It is called the 'Pomodoro Technique' This technique involves you focusing on something for 25 mins and then takes a 5 min break and continue repeating the process. So here's how I applied it ✅ I wrote down my to-do and prioritized them based on importance. ✅ I removed all form of distraction (e.g I set my phone aside) ✅ I applied the technique by concentrating on one task till I was done ( the 25mins concentration and 5mins rest worked so well that I began increasing to 1hour full concentration and 10mins rest) So if you are having so much to do this week, you should try out this technique. Don't forget to come share your testimony at the end of the week. Happy new week Fam, cheers to a productive one

It never stops amazing me. Simply offering some time for a conversation to happen can produce miracles. This is a simple as simple can get. So how's it going? It's good same old same old.. Cool. Works a bit crap.... Feels a little toxic. Really? Yeah no matter what I do just doesn't feel like it's enough. It feels like I'm getting bombarded from all areas. It's like people just want to take take take... Yeah I understand that. It definitely feels like that at times. How about that time it had that great exercise session and you hit your PB how was that day at work? It was phenomenal nothing could touch me everything was on point. Nothing anyone could say hit me in a bad way..... This is where the hammer hit the nail...... Do you think it's more about how you feel on the day even before the day starts before the day happens....? It's just a small example of a simple conversation that can change the only the day but our view on the week. And if we view our week in a different way how effective how powerful would it be to view and see our year and a different way ? I've got a few conversations left over April.. Why don't we have a conversation that could affect your whole year and beyond.
