After four full weeks of using my new Blackmagic Fairlight audio system and DaVinci Resolve, I feel an optimistic outlook for the studio’s efficiency and overall productivity. That wasn’t always the case. After day 2, I was seriously questioning my ability to master the intricacy of ALL these new and updated functions. But now, the view from the top is looking more and more hopeful as time goes. This particular upgrade is ranking Migrate Sound amongst the larger players, in terms of capability and deliverability. The sheer power and processing quality of this new system is by far the biggest enhancement gap I’ve ever achieved from one system to the next. Blackmagic did an amazing job in keeping the integrity of the original Fairlight interface, while integrating the new bells and whistles of the new technology. I am an avid Fairlight fan and Blackmagic did not disappoint.
