Migration Museum’s Post

Here's an update from our CEO Sophie Henderson on the growing momentum behind the UK's first permanent Migration Museum! 👇 Every person in Britain has a migration story. Whether it's their own journey, their parents', or that of more distant ancestors. These stories deserve a permanent home where they can be shared, celebrated, and preserved for future generations. CEO Migration Museum

With our Annual Lecture taking place last week and a House of Lord’s reception happening today, it is hugely encouraging to see so many people interested in helping us to create a permanent Migration Museum for the UK.  Our lecture, delivered by Sunder Katwala and chaired by Rafael Behr, had a wonderfully engaged audience, with great questions. The buzz afterwards indicated that people are really up for deeper conversations about migration. We’re all very excited about the spaces that this museum can create. Many thanks to longstanding supporters who came along, as well as new ones from business, academia, the arts and more - including Eastern City BID, Merchant Taylors' Hall, City of London Corporation, Mark Gettleson and The City Belonging Project, Shravan Joshi MBE, Alex Sutton, Shuyeb Muquit and Fragomen
