We're thrilled to announce that Christian Sinibaldi's portrait of Allyson Williams has been shortlisted for the 2024 Portrait of Britain Awards! 📸✨ "These portraits spotlight Britain’s heritage and modern identity. This year’s collection captures essential social issues, from healthcare and economic challenges to LGBTQIA+ and racial justice movements." – British Journal of Photography, organisers of the Portrait of Britain Awards 💙 Allyson's portrait is part of Sinibaldi's commission for our Heart of the Nation exhibition, highlighting the contributions of people from all over the world who have come to Britain to work in the NHS over the past 75 years. Christian Sinibaldi’s long-term collaboration with the Migration Museum includes earlier works such as his I'm Hackney project, featured in our 100 Images of Migration collection, as well as his photography of the Calais 'Jungle', which was featured in one of our first-ever exhibitions, Call Me by My Name (2016), and also in our current exhibition, All Our Stories. Christian was also a mentor for our Moving Stories – Lewisham competition for young people in 2022. Visit our current exhibition All Our Stories at the Migration Museum in Lewisham Shopping Centre to see some of Sinibaldi's photography of the Calais 'Jungle' in person.
