Strategy or Tactics? Why do so many get the distinction wrong? In a recent Tech Titan Talk with Giampiero Marinò he shared his insights on the differences and why many leaders get this wrong. Giamp has over 14 years' experience implementing complex strategies to achieve huge growth. From working with Senior Execs with BCG and Deloitte to becoming a CEO, launching and scaling SaaS businesses and successfully delivering M&As and PMI phases across 13 European countries. At the Harvard Business School he completed the Management Excellence Programme specialising in strategy and gave some brilliant examples from his experience in successful implementation and execution. He discussed: Strategy: The grand plan or the overarching blueprint aimed at long-term victories. Focused on addressing fundamental industry challenges. This involved setting clear, ambitious goals that align with the company's vision. Tactics: The specific actions or steps taken to execute the strategy. Dealing with short-term solutions and immediate tasks. Essentially, the strategy sets the direction, while tactics navigate the journey. By marrying the two, you provide sustainable value to your clients, helping them to not just navigate but thrive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
