In this research by the Florida Atlantic University & funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Team imaged the internal architecture of each vertebra of the thresher shark and the mineral structures found in the calcified cartilage by using Bruker micro-CT instruments. The aim was to understand the mechanisms behind the thresher sharks' vertebrae that allow its machete-like tail to be used to slap and stun prey, allowing it to swallow multiple fish in one fell swoop. Dinosaur tromell Well guys. These were the guide wheels on an old dinosaur tromell I was asked to bring back to life. They couldnt see why the tyres were not lasting 🤣????? As you can see I plasma cut new wheel guide frames x2 and bolted her back together. Often challenged, rarely beaten. Creature Concept I created using ZBrush. This is called a ‘Jell-Eye Fish’. Much like a normal Jellyfish, this is a Aquatic Creature that floats around the Ocean, catching prey to consume. The addition of Eyes in this Creature means it is a much more ferocious Hunter, with a much more intimidating Appearance. This is a Concept I envisioned for a World similar to Subnautica. Which mostly parallels our own Worlds Biology, but with Creative and Exciting Evolutionary Features. Project Title: Introduction to ZBrush.
