Beckers Group has now published its 2023 Sustainability Report. In the past year, Beckers relaunched its Beckers Sustainability Index (BSI), a tool to ensure product sustainability, and sold the first commercial batches of its newly developed UV/EB product. Beckers also started the construction of its Sustainable Innovation Center to enhance global R&D capabilities. Did you know that less than 8% of materials are cycled back into the economy globally, leading to significant waste and emissions? As the first-choice partner to meet customers’ evolving needs for innovative paints, coatings and surface solutions, PPG must enable circularity for our customers. A circular economy refers to the reuse or repurposing of materials and products instead of creating new waste streams, resulting in reduced operating costs, expanded margins, and the ability to market sustainable advantages to move market share. To support this journey, recently more than 40 chemists gathered at PPG's Coatings Innovation Center to ideate around circularity. The result? More than 200 ideas that have the potential to elevate our competitive advantage and create new innovations that address customer needs. Reaching 44% of sales from sustainably advantaged products in 2023 is part of our commitment to being a sustainability industry leader. #Sustainability #Innovation #ProtectandBeautify #PPGproud
