Focused on humanity first, we coined the term #AgIsTheNewOil because we believe the face of the renewable energy transition lies in the heart of the global agricultural economy. Latin America, North America, Central America, South America, Asia, and Africa hold the promise - their agricultural communities and multi-generational farmers will lead the charge to a sustainable future. SGP BioEnergy’s READY.GROW. program is preparing the tools and resources required to make that shift. #energytransition #greenfuture #farming #sustainability

Back in my HS days (late 1980s), the environmental movement was focused on waste generation, NIMBY landfills, and such, then the recycling movement grew out of that to find uses for "trash" and reducing reliance on landfills. Manure, though largely a farm problem, has been spread on farmland/etc., which solves the waste problem but not the methane emissions. As a person with a multi-cat household, I'd love an alternative for pet waste too. The technology has existed for converting biofuel to electricity-- I have two clients who have been doing this with great success (landfill gas and food waste). It is high time that animal waste be included. #biofuel
Did you know that the number of dairy farms in the US has decreased from 40,000 in 2017 to roughly 30,000 today? It's time to reverse this trend and empower American farmers! US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a pivotal opportunity to make a difference by finalizing its Electric Pathways framework proposal under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) Program. This proposal could be a game-changer, creating a new revenue stream for smaller farmers and revitalizing rural communities. Learn more about how EPA can support methane capture and conversion into renewable energy sources, empowering smaller agricultural operations and fostering a more resilient farming community.
