THE SOCIAL SPACE Libraries are no longer places only for books, work and study, they are now also vibrant social hubs for interaction and community engagement. The library is a social environment away from people’s homes and workplaces. It is a neutral, inclusive and accessible place – a third place. We design beautiful, flexible community spaces, spaces with cosy seating areas where people can gather for discussions, group study sessions, or simply to relax and socialise. We integrate flexible furniture arrangements that can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different group sizes, events and programmes. We incorporate technology such as interactive displays or digital collaboration tools. Our team design inviting spaces with natural light, comfortable seating, and aesthetically pleasing decor to encourage social interaction and a sense of belonging. We are library people we know the library is an important place for community building, democracy and civic engagement. https://lnkd.in/exipUvGh Why not give us a call? Contour, the collection of inclusive tables I designed in collaboration with Landscape Forms is now available. We focused relentlessly on understanding this problem and the existing regulations, designing for elegance and simplicity, and importantly, ensuring that the experience must be the same for all users. This combination led us to create a product line that I believe is one step above any other tables on the market today. #furniture #design #industrialdesign #furnituredesign #inclusion #innovation #tables #publicspaces #userexperience #urbandesign #landscapearchitecture #urbanplanning #cityplanning #placemaking Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA)

Universal accessible design is crucial for creating an inclusive world. It goes beyond meeting standards; it’s about developing solutions that cater to everyone, including those with disabilities. We need to redesign products, services, and spaces with all users in mind. This goes beyond the digital world and includes everything that folks use or interact with. Updating policies, like incorporating ADA standards into more aspects such as hotel bed heights, is essential. Places designed for all ages and abilities are more flexible, efficient, and comfortable. Embracing universal design boosts property value and longevity. We need to create a world where everyone can thrive! #UniversalDesign #AccessibilityForAll #InclusiveDesign #CreateAnAccessibleWorld #AmericansWithDisabilitiesAct
