There’s a reason every sitcom you’ve ever watched has had this ONE thing… We all want to feel connected to a community. But how often do we stop and actually think about the mechanics of how a community comes together? It’s one thing to know that we want something, but like with anything else in life, it doesn’t become an achievable goal until we develop a tangible plan to get there. So how do we get there? The first and perhaps biggest step has to do with WHERE we connect with people. Have you noticed that in every sitcom you’ve ever seen, there is a go-to spot where all the characters like to meet? ▪️ In Friends, they had the Central Perk coffee shop. ▪️ In Seinfeld, they had the corner restaurant. ▪️ In How I Met Your Mother, they had the downstairs pub. ▪️ Cheers was even named after the bar where they all meet. There is something important about having a place you visit regularly outside of home and work. We like to call it a “third place”. This third place is a critical component of building community. And it’s a critical component of fostering the type of life most of us want to experience. Think about it. Where’s your “third place?” Got a spot where you kick back, meet pals, feel like part of something bigger? If not, why not create one? Could be simple. A coffee joint, a park, a local bar, a run club, a gym. Make it where you build your community.

I've detected one core pattern among all our thriving tenants: They all cater to the cultural cornerstone of El Pasoans: the importance of family time. Understanding the market you're entering is essential for success. Venues that cater to family activities thrive here. Retail shops create family-friendly experiences by implementing kids' sections with interactive displays, offering family discounts, and hosting events like face painting and giveaways. Restaurants offer menu options for both adults and children, family meal deals, and themed nights like "Family Taco Tuesday". Cafes provide cozy spaces with board games, kid-friendly snacks, and dedicated play areas. Hosting storytime sessions or children's book clubs attracts families looking for enjoyable places to spend time together. Family entertainment spaces offer affordable, fun activities like mini-golf, laser tag, or indoor playgrounds, along with special events like "Family Movie Nights" or "Themed Party Days." Listen to your customers. They'll tell you what they need; just be sure to deliver based on those needs.

Here are some indoor activities parents can do with their kids during hot summers: 1. Indoor scavenger hunts: Create a list of items for the kids to find around the house. You can make it themed or just random objects to keep it exciting. 2. DIY arts and crafts: Set up a craft station with supplies like paper, markers, glue, and scissors. Let the kids get creative and make anything from drawings to homemade cards or even DIY decorations. 3. Indoor picnics: Lay out a blanket in the living room and have a picnic indoors. Prepare some finger foods like sandwiches, fruits, and snacks for a fun and relaxed mealtime. 4. Storytime or reading sessions: Gather some favorite books and take turns reading aloud to each other. You can also create a cozy reading nook with pillows and blankets for added comfort. 5. Cooking or baking together: Choose simple recipes that kids can help with, like making cookies, cupcakes, or homemade pizzas. It’s a fun way to bond and teach them some valuable skills in the kitchen. 6. Science experiments: Look up some easy and safe science experiments to do at home. From making homemade slime to creating simple chemical reactions, there are plenty of options to choose from. 7. Movie or game nights: Pick out a few movies or board games and spend the evening watching or playing together as a family. 8. Indoor obstacle courses: Set up a mini obstacle course using pillows, chairs, and other household items. Time each other to see who can complete the course the fastest. 9. Dance parties: Clear some space in the living room and crank up the music for an impromptu dance party. Let loose and have fun dancing together. 10. DIY projects: Get creative with DIY projects like building a cardboard castle, creating a sensory bin, or making homemade playdough. It’s a great way to keep kids entertained while also encouraging their creativity and imagination. 1. #FamilyFun 2. #IndoorActivities 3. #ParentingLife 4. #QualityTime 5. #CreativeKids 6. #SummerIndoors 7. #HomeActivities 8. #DIYProjects 9. #KidsCrafts 10. #IndoorPlaytime 11. #StaycationIdeas 12. #FamilyBonding 13. #IndoorGames 14. #ParentingTips 15. #SummerStaycation 16. #FamilyTime 17. #KidsActivities 18. #FunAtHome 19. #ChildhoodUnplugged 20. #SummerWithKids

Let's talk lifestyle trends that are shaking up the scene and bringing communities together! These top trends aren't just buzzwords — they're the heartbeat of vibrant communities across the nation. Here's why we're all about incorporating them into our OnVie programming. 🌟 1️⃣ Shared Experiences: Life's better when it's shared, right? Whether it's a cooking class, an outdoor concert, or participating in a community art project, shared experiences foster authentic connections between residents and contribute to overall wellness. 2️⃣ Connection to Nature: Mother Nature knows best, and it's time we reconnect with her! From sunset walks with neighbors, to community clean-up days, embracing nature brings us peace, rejuvenation, and a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves. 3️⃣ Blue Zone Living: Do you ever wonder why some communities live longer, healthier, and happier lives? Enter the Blue Zones. We love sprinkling these blue zone concepts within our OnVie communities through programming like healthy cooking classes, yoga and tai chi classes, and quality time with friends and neighbors, which all contribute to a happier and sometimes longer lifespan. If you're interested in learning more about OnVie and the types of communities we serve, check out our website, www.onvie.life! #CommunityConnection #LifestyleTrends #CommunityCreators #Wellbeing #BlueZoneLiving

FROM CHAOS TO CALM… CHILDREN DESIGN CANTEEN I’d like to share an inspiring story of creativity and transformation at Sylvester School in Knowsley! 🎨✨ A few years ago children at Sylvester School took part in a canteen makeover challenge, where they designed a new space that would reflect their vision of a relaxing and calm environment. Drawing inspiration from their Relax Kids visualisation stories, they worked together to create a space that was not only functional but also peaceful and rejuvenating. One of their favourite Relax Kids meditations, "Relaxing by the Ocean," became a key inspiration for the design. The calming imagery of the ocean, gentle waves, and peaceful surroundings helped shape the tranquil atmosphere they envisioned for their new canteen. 🏖️🌊 The result? The school won the £10,000 canteen makeover, and the children’s design vision has now come to life in the form of a magical new canteen! 🏆🎉 What’s even more wonderful is the feedback from staff—they’ve noted that the newly transformed space is now a relaxing place for the children to eat, where they can enjoy their meals in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. This is a perfect example of how the power of imagination, creativity, and mindfulness can transform everyday spaces—and I couldn’t be more proud of the children for bringing their vision to life. 🌟 I love how they were inspired by their imaginations and Relax Kids meditations. #relaxKids #mindfulnessinschools #creativespaces #visualisation #wellbeinginschools

We have finally had some summer weather and this week is National Picnic Week. So it's nice to get outdoors for some fun and enjoy a lovely picnic. But if you have not taken your child out on a picnic before and they have sensory integration challenges. we have shared some ideas to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience. Talk about the picnic and show some pictures or a simple visual schedule to explain what will happen. 😀Find a quiet and calm spot, not too crowded to avoid overwhelming noise and activity. 🌻Try and select a location the child is already familiar with to reduce anxiety. 🐞Ensure the location has easy access and is safe for children to move around comfortably. 😋Consider your child's sensory needs and pack familiar food and bring utensil's your child is comfortable using. After the picnic, talk to the child about their experience. Discuss what they enjoyed. And of course make plans for the next one! #NationalPicnicWeek #SensoryIntegration #SensoryChallenges #AutismParent #SpecialNeedsParenting #OutdoorFun #SensoryFriendly #PicnicIdeas
