🚀 Is Flutter Really “Dead”? 🚀 With the rapid changes in tech, it’s natural to wonder about the future of frameworks, especially popular ones like Flutter. Some developers question whether Flutter is still a viable choice or if it’s losing its edge. 💡 Key Takeaways: 1. Evolving Landscape: Cross-platform development is crowded, with strong competition from React Native, Swift, and Kotlin Multiplatform. Each platform has unique strengths, impacting Flutter’s appeal. 2. Active Community & Support: Flutter still enjoys a solid community and regular updates, suggesting that Google hasn’t abandoned it. The continuous work on performance and platform support shows that it’s far from “dead.” 3. Real-World Use Cases: Major companies like Alibaba and Google Ads continue to use Flutter for their apps, proving it remains a reliable choice for building performant and visually consistent cross-platform applications. 4. The Future of Flutter: Trends may shift, but Flutter’s adaptability could help it evolve alongside new demands in mobile and web development. In my view, Flutter is very much alive! The choice to use it should be based on specific project needs and long-term support plans, rather than trends alone. For those investing in Flutter, the future likely holds more opportunities than threats. What do you think? Have you used Flutter recently, or are you leaning towards another framework? 🤔 #Flutter #MobileDevelopment #CrossPlatform #TechTrends #DevCommunity

I’m excited to share what Galindo Leite and I have been building with Zucagram📱, an app created with React Native for Brazilians living abroad. The idea is simple: it’s a platform where immigrants can share their experiences, connect with others nearby, and access relevant information for those planning to immigrate. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, with features like image-based posts, likes, follows, comments, and real-time chat, along with AI-powered moderation and our Zucagram Assistant, which helps users navigate immigration-related topics. 🌟 Now we’re present in more than 40 countries, with more than 2.5k users, and we’re still growing! The app integrates push notifications and supports Google and Apple sign-ins, while AI ensures content is safe and relevant. Every day, we’re learning more about scalability, managing a growing user base, and improving the app’s security and performance. If you're curious about the challenges we’re facing, whether it’s handling security, optimizing costs, or choosing the right technologies, let’s chat about the development journey and what we’re discovering along the way! Always learning, always building. 🔧👨💻 📲 App download: https://lnkd.in/dF-E9EEX #react #reactnative #mobile #frontend #software #javascript #typescript #ai #ios #android

🌟 From 2017 to Now: A Reflection on Flutter’s Journey Through the Eyes of Native Developers 🌟 Back in 2017, when Flutter was first introduced, native developers (iOS/Android) were skeptical. Many saw it as just another cross-platform framework that promised speed and flexibility but would ultimately fail to deliver the same performance and native feel. After all, native was king, and developers had built expertise and mastery around platform-specific SDKs. The thought of moving away from that felt risky. ❓ The questions back then: ❔ Could Flutter really match the polished UI of native apps? ❔ Would it offer the same level of device integration? ❔ Could it really outperform or be as stable as Kotlin or Swift? Fast forward to 2024, and the story has changed. Flutter isn’t just a “cool new framework” anymore; it's a serious contender in the mobile development space, trusted by tech giants and indie devs alike. ➡️ Today, many of those same native developers are now poking around Flutter—curious about its evolution: ➡️ The single codebase dream is much closer to reality, reducing duplication of effort across platforms. ➡️ Performance is near-native, and the widget-based approach gives a familiar yet flexible development experience. ➡️ Plus, with its growing ecosystem and robust community, even die-hard native devs are starting to see its potential for certain projects. 🚀 What’s the takeaway? The tech world moves fast, and while native development will always have its place, frameworks like Flutter are proving that they’re more than just hype. The question now isn’t “Will Flutter replace native?” but rather “How can these ecosystems coexist and benefit each other?” 👨💻👩💻 For native devs who haven’t looked at Flutter recently, it might be time to take another peek. #Flutter #NativeDevelopment #CrossPlatform #MobileDev #TechEvolution #AppDevelopment #CodingJourney
